Project Awakened

Wow. I mean, wow. This is a kickstarter I could throw all my money at. Wanna be a badass spy type? Gotcha. Jetpack motherfucker? Yup. Creator who sets shit on fire and then turns it into a whirling death tornado? That's in there too! (At the 5:10 mark) Damn! Also, super speed. Be fast. Hot damn if this doesn't look stupid amounts of "Fuck you, this is my sandbox!" exciting!

According to their own bio, the only games they've made on their own are mobile games. Everything else is 'worked on' - if they had any sort of key or managerial role in those games they sure as hell would have mentioned it. That they haven't mentioned details says, to me, that the details would be more condemning than the intentional vagueness. Game tester? Intern? Mail room?

That's not a pedigree that screams half a million dollars' worth to me.

 

Aaaand it failed. Balls...

 

I didn't put money towards it either. It's not that the idea is bad, just that I didn't believe the dev team could pull it off. It's a very ambitious project. It seemed like they were over-reaching to be honest.
