Damn, you guys are way ahead of me. I just bought my first power plant (have two now) and that was damn expensive. I ended up loaning 400mil$ from the bank to buy more acres of land. Having more land really helps increase your immigration rate I have noticed!

The new research options looks very cool. Though they definitely need some tweaking. Solar cells research is a req. for resevoirs and dams, really?

And what kind of word is Containerisation? That is the first time I have ever stumbled upon it. Gotta be an americanism

 

What I'm finding really funny is that despite having 0 army, navy and airforce, I have a military strength of 14k. I think I've found a glitch.

 

Did you buy paratroopers (or other advanced military that required research) before the reset? They still exist and continue to add to your strength, even though you can't see them, I think (based on the change, or lack rather, in my nation strength).

 

Have any of you guys been investing through the Treasury? I've got almost 220 million invested...for an extra 24K earned per day.

Strength is simply a factor of how many military units you have. It's not something set by the game, rather something affected by variables. If the military units are gone, then the strength should update accordingly. Since it hasn't (and my hospitals are still there in the city management list despite not showing up under infrastructure) I'm going to assume the paratroopers are still there, just not showing up because I haven't researched them.

Only military buildings, hospitals and research is deleted, not military units. Although I do wonder why my hospitals were not deleted...

The interest earned/charged is measly. Most of us aren't investing, rather borrowing the maximum we can. I borrowed over 1 billion, and it costs me less then 500k per day.

 

Universities just got wiped out, so there's a quick 150 mega down the drain :/

 

Or more if someone bought more than one...

Anyway, at least it didn't affect my literacy rate as far as I can tell.

 

And we're not getting refunds for them... :facepalm

Yeah noticed that too. Guess us early birds gotta do the hard work of extracting our resources then selling anything we don't need at the market, at a hefty premium.

 

I got better resources this time atleast, Aluminium, Brick, Gas and milk. Also got 1,000,000,000 money to start this time.

 

My resources are pretty much as shitty as they started out. At least this time I started with a power plant. Unfortunately I can't get any infrastructure built yet and probably won't be able to for a while because I lack the resources to do so. EDIT: however, as I can't even buy a goddamn power plant, I decided to spend about half of my money on an army. I now have a military strength of 140k. I think that's actually the highest in the game, as of right now.

EDIT again: Now I'm ranked 4. There's a guy with 200k strength.

 

Bought as many extractors and refineries as I could and still be in the positive for energy consumption, now I need to wait a day to get my 3k crude oil for the power plant.

In the mean time I'll see how much profit I can make by selling the rest of my resources. There's got to be some dumb schmuck that will buy Sand for millions.

 

I'm now both the strongest and third strongest military power in the game.

Testament: Can I assume that you're the one with 80 million for 250 of sand?
