Just finished the book, not too happy with it. Here is some reasons why...

Pros:

1) Dumbledore's history was intriguing. I think that after this some people sorta owe an apology to those manipulative!Dumbledore fans that they blasted.

2) Lupin telling Harry he is a shitty excuse of a wizard (didn't really say that, but that's the vibes I picked up) because of his reluctance to use anything other than a disarming spell.

3) Neville is bad ass. He is the next Dumbledore

4) McGonagall being all uber when she fought Snape and used the Imperious.

.....That's about it for pros.

Cons:

1) Final duel was the shittiest excuse of a final fight I have ever had the displeasure of reading. You know what? God forbid Harry ever faces someone with Voldemort's skill ever again, he will be the laughing stock of the world. He only won because Voldemort was too blind to see reason and Harry had the advantage over him with the Elder Wand backfire garbage. Next time he fights a powerful wizard he won't have those variables on his side.

2) Hermione....she can do ever thing!!!!11!!11 Frankly I think she would have put up a better fight against Voldemort than Harry could ever have. Not once did Harry show any spell worthy of mention, while Hermione had a spell for ever situation they got into.

3) Molly...killed....Bellatrix....what? Molly Weasley; house wife, non combatant vs Bellatrix LeStrange; Dark Witch, personally trained by Voldemort, highly skilled witch= Molly wins? Umm... I think JKR used her logic wrong when she did that equation.

4) The Deathly Hallows. Very much unneeded. I didn't really see a point to them. To me JKR made them because she knew Harry couldn't win with his own ability so she had to make something that would cause Harry to win; enter Deathly Hallows.

5) The disarming spell.....WTF mate! THAT is the final spell Harry uses against Voldemort! I would have taken any spell but that one. What the hell was Harry hoping for? Even without his Wand, Voldemort would still wreck Harry.

6) I thought that she could have come up with a better way to destroy a Horcrux. And have made it more challenging. I was expecting them to have to break through enchantments or cursed doorways, etc.

7) Harry is The One!! He can't be killed, ZOMG!!!. What's next? Is he going to hold out his hand and stop AKs in mid air?

8 ) Was there really a reason for the death of BOTH Tonks and Lupin except to cause Harry more grief? I wouldn't have minded Lupin dying and Harry taking Tonks as his wife.

9) And finally, that horrific epilogue. The epilogue didn't wrap up anything. We don't know what anyone but Neville does for a living. All the kids have names we have all seen in fanfics. Albus Severus...sorry but if I found out some guy I hated most of my life wanted to bone my mom, I wouldn't have given my son his middle name.
