Not awesome. The only worthwhile games are inFAMOUS and LittleBigPlanet, and I already have both of them. :(

It is a free service that we're using, so I never figured that the hook ups would not be that awesome. However, I'm down with a free month of Playstation Plus. Here's to hoping that I can sue Sony for millions if my identity gets stolen.

How'd your Cammy like that rape I gave you a couple of days ago? ;)

Ahem. Back on subject, what does Playstation Plus give us again?

    According to PSN UK's website:

Having never used the service, and not knowing anybody who does, I have no idea quite how useful/ worth it these perks are. The free stuff sounds nice, but I still don't quite know if it's worth the cost.

God damn, but that's a pathetically easy hack. It's not even a hack really. You can do it entirely from the browser, and all it takes is knowing a bit about how Sony's password reset works.

The steps to change someone else's account password to whatever you want [providing you know their email address and DOB]: http://www.lifehacker.com.au/2011/0...ed-customer-accounts-potentially-compromised/

nb. the technique mentioned in the linked article above doesn't work any more because Sony took down their password reset system while they fix it.

What the fuck is up with the PS Store? It's been under maintenance ever since PSN was back up. How the heck am I suppose to start my DCUO subscription without the PS Store?

    Also:
Who called "inside job" first? Here's proof. They always return to the crime scene:awesome

They haven't brought the store back yet. It's been "under maintenance" ever since they replaced the original error message, way back when.

They still have work to do, but they prioritized getting multiplayer/steam integration/etc. back online over everything else.

Not for their customers... damn, I might have to pull the plug on my PSN account or change to a new card or something if this continues. Heck, I haven't even used my PS3 for anything more than DVDs & iPlayer in 4 months, and yet all these details could be taken.

Get your arses in gear, Sony, please...

Protip: No one at Sony's ever going to check if your name and address are legit, and these exist for a reason. I'm amazed more people don't just lie when they give their details to services like this.

    and again and again.

Sony Ericsson [Canada] and Sony BMG [Japan] got hit today by separate groups. Thousands of customer records and encrypted passwords got swiped. According to several news reports, almost all of these hacks have been carried out with SQL injection attacks... one of the most basic [and easily defended against] attack vectors for public-facing servers.

If Sony doesn't get its shit together and on track...

Well, I think this is apt for people who've been using PSN.

Come to think of it, I did - at least on the age part. Besides, it's the credit card details which are most worrying.

I completely forgot about what I set my details as until I had to get in touch with Sony Customer Service last summer (PS3 broke), and they asked me to confirm my PSN details due to a related problem (can't remember why). I gave my real details, and they got confused. Fail.

And I do have fake accounts, but they were for USA and Japan, not the homeland.

It should be fairly easy to get your credit card information off of their servers, though from the sounds of things that information is the one thing that never got leaked (or, if it was leaked, if was only leaked in that initial hack that lead to the PSN being down for several weeks).

I only have Infamous so it's awesome enough. Besides they're free.

Wow, the hackers are really kicking them while they're down.

New press release says everything should be fixed by the end of this week- including PS Store.

Let's see if it will actually happen this time.
