Hmm, this is not bad at all! As it stands, it has "potential", but it's not good enough yet as of one chapter to be great. It's got some very intriguing elements, and the writing style isn't too jarring, I guess. I'll keep a careful eye on this one - looks to be quite the interesting story.

    3.5/5

I enjoyed it, and would like to see this Harry at Hogwarts, but I'm not going to hold my breath waiting for the next chapter. The author's other story was posted in 2004 and is still lacking a second chapter.

EDITED the summary for this one.

As for the fic? I liked it. Works well as a one-shot. I don't think I'd have the stomach to drudge through all of this Harry's Hogwarts years. But this fic as a sort of character study or turning point is interesting. Nothing really all that special I didn't think. Most ficlets involving child!Harry barely hold my attention, but this one I'd cautiously recommend.

4/5 may be on the high side, but close enough.

While there are 60 million Brits, how many of those are ENGLISH? I didn't count Scots, Welsh, or Northern Irish.

Sorry, that was just a response from my prior comment.

I don't normally read Child!Harry, but the turning point was very well-written and clear.
I think Harry was far too smart for 5 year old.
    4/5 from me

It was updated today after 14 months, for an abysmally short chapter. On the other hand, there's a pseudo-cliffhanger, so it's likely to be actually continued, although the author claims it will be a series of one-shots.

The chapter isn't quite as good as the first, but definitely has it's strong elements.

Now, I'll probably go back to lurking.

There's a second chapter up for this now. I don't know what to think about it.. The grammar annoys me slightly - sentences don't flow properly or something. Either way, the fic is pretty interesting.

Edit: ...God, am I stupid. I didn't notice the second page of this topic, lol. Looking at forums at 4am isn't a good idea.

This was interesting, I guess, but it's really vague as a 'beginning for a different Harry'. That could be deliberate, I guess; I really liked the causality of the cop speaking to Harry about his speed and where the story went from there. Cops fuck up everything they touch.
