New story from Wheezy1. It's Hagrid adopts Harry AU. And thankfully, it's a comedy/parody.

Who knows, this story might even turn out good, now that the author has seemingly given up her on attempting to write fangirl/preteens-friendly "dark" stories.

 

It seems to have some future, but we shall see with time.

Ginny bashing is always good and well in my book.

 

She finished it.
In the latest chapters I think she was doing all the "lets-lick DLP members asses" thing- namely bash Ginny all the way.
She lost the point of the story when Harry got to the Dursleys and they were nice. So what's the point with the Hagrid thing? A decent read no more.

 

*Shrugs* It's a short parody, written in total of 5 days. You get exactly what you'd expect - some humor and a few neat parts, wrapped up in rushed filler material.

As for the Dursleys, remember this is parody. Actually, that's a rather cool idea IMO - good, redneck Dursleys adopt Harry after being mistrated by Hagrid. Born Again Penguin and I were mulling over similar plot few months ago, only with abusive Snape instead of Hagrid.

 

I don't like the sound of it.

 

Actually, I liked her argument for why the Dursley's were the way they were... It's plausible (I forget which chapters authors note she stuck it in).

I mean lets face it -- the Dursley's love showing up wizards... Well how better to do it than raising a wizard better than the other wizards could?

The story was fun to read, not great, but fun. ^_^

 

The story started out with Hagrid raising Harry but it didn't last long. It seems to be only a excuse for NiceDursleys!

Unless this is a parody, it doesn't even belong in this section because there really is no humor. In the later chapter, it seems there is a needless amount of Ginny bashing that are not even in relation to the story. The story itself just seems to be what if Harry had a nice Dursleys and nice Snape in his life.

I will say though, least this Harry went and asked Luna out.

...Alright, so I get to the end. And Harry goes basically Dirty Harry with perfect aim on the Death Eaters. Muggle Weapons in a story where he has his wand? I think not. I understand it's humor, but again, I didn't see anything funny about it. Maybe it's just me though.

Before the Muggle weapons, I was willing to give it a 3/5, recycle bin worthy but not Library Worthy. Now, I'll give it a 2.5/5, and I dunno about recycle bin worthy.

 

Yeah, I agree with Scrittore. This is Recycling Bin material.

The story was written in five days and was co-authored by Wheezy1's 11-year-old son. That should give you an idea of how polished it is.

It's mildly humorous for the first few chapters, where Hagrid raises Harry to be a filthy, dread-locked savage. Thereafter it just becomes implausible, silly, and rushed. It's not as good as the author's other stuff.

2.5/5 at best

Edit: What the hell happened to Scrittore anyway? He posted about ten times a day for a solid month and then just disappeared.
