Question regarding ratings

I don't really know where to post this, so I have put this in the General Discussion part to be safe.

Anyway, I am writing a story, in ff.net and currently I am in a bit of a bind. I have a scene in mind ... now the thing is, I know that I will have to bump up the ratings, but don't really know if the rating of the story should be "MA" or "M" ...

Basically I have Harry learning how to "do it" to put it lightly, from a "professional" of sorts if you get my drift ...

Now this doesn't really have anything too graphic, it only has him calling said professional and fixing up "night-time classes" if you will ...

Of course to put it rather bluntly, if you cut through my crap, he's setting up appointments with a prostitute to learn how to fuck better...

So my question is, should I bump up the rating to M from T? Or is it more MA material?

Cause if it is the latter, then I doubt that I can have that scene in...

I just want to make sure before I put it up ... no need to have people up in arms just because I thought that something at M was supposed to be MA ...

Just set it as M. It's unlikely anyone will report it if it's not so graphic.

    Uh-huh ...

What if it is just one scene? Should the rating of the whole story be bumped up for that one scene?

I am kind of new to the writing bit ... so don't mind it if my questions are a bit on the stupid side ...

Yup. If you don't want the rating to go up, just don't include the scene.

If Woody started nailing Buzz in Toy Story then the rating would have been bumped up, despite that just being one scene. So yes.

Mentioning Harry will have sex but not explicitly showing it is "T", I think. If you're gonna have Harry pick up the phone and arrange a sex lesson it's "T". If Harry comes back from the lesson with a smile, no clothes and his mysteriously enlarged cock leaving its own cock-print on the floor, you should probably go with "M".
