    ALBUS PERCIVAL WULFRIC BRIAN DUMBLEDORE

For shits and giggles they should have made the Headmasters of each school compete, rather than the students.

After Dumbledore imprisoned Grindlewald, did he ever go to see him again or did they never meet again until Albus died?

I'd read that. Especially if the author did a decent job creating tasks that could highlight the deeper levels of magic they would know.

He ended up being Draco's slave for a day.

Am I forgetting some obvious piece of canon or is this a clever joke or a reference to some crackfic?

It's just a reference to A Very Potter Musical.

Can one deactivate wards on an enemies grounds?

Edit: So if a character wanted to attack the Burrow for example, would they be able to find a way to bypass the wards without attracting the attention of the Weasley's.

Pretty sure wards are a fanon thing, and the closest thing to them in canon is Dumbledore mentioning protections, IIRC.

Huh, always assumed they were a real thing. Will look into it a bit deeper, thanks.

Huh, apparently it's the anti-apparition charm and not ward. And it only stops people from apparating into an area. The anti-apparition jinx prevents people from leaving an area via apparition. Interesting. Even what fanon considers to be "blood wards" protecting Number 4 Privet Drive is in fact a charm.

Beauxbatons is set up somewhere up in the Pyrenees, right? I imagine it's not anywhere near muggles, so that makes me curious how exactly would students go to their school? Portkeys?

Well, Hogwarts is kind of in a hilly/mountainous area too, so I imagine a train ride wouldn't be out of the realm of possibility. Checked on Pottermore or HPwiki don't mention how students get there, so it's speculation.

Its an Anti-Disapparation Jinx according to Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix.

Which makes a certain sense- if you're jinxing a person, it's to keep them from departing. You charm an area to prevent departures and arrivals.

I quite like an idea that they are transported via that carriage pulled by Abraxans.

That brings up follow up questions. How many students does Beauxbatons have? Probably around the same as Hogwarts. If so, how many people can the carriage accommodate? IIRC, about 30 came for the Tournament. Was that the max capacity? It's possible that the carriage is pimped out with the space expansion charms like the Ford was, so it might be able to take more people.

But yeah, a neat idea. ;)
