I came in here to make a joke ranking about the teachers' order of bangability, but the autism is just too much.

Ashton the wizards are supposedly centuries behind the muggle world. How many times did school punishments include scrubbing the floors? The only time I can remember is the teachers making you scrape gum off desks if they caught you putting it on there. Cleaning floors would be considered child labor by muggle standards.

Corporal punishment in schools has only been gone for around thirty years. In fact, given Rowling's age and the area she grew up, its quite likely that she saw examples of it in her schooldays.

Back to the point of this thread. We can't measure the effectiveness of each teacher effectively largely because the focus of the stories is Harry and he's biased.

Oh and Ashton Knight, you're so cool and badass that all he other little pussy wizard boys would want to be you and all the girls would be lining up to suck you off.

Absolutely nobody in your year would be sick of your posturing and be glad to see you humiliated.

    Hard as nails, bro.

Eh, pretty much what Erotic wrote except for Snape. Potions isn't something that gives a lot of space to creativity unless you're already advanced in the subject, too much could go wrong with but a single misused ingredient. He gives the class a heads up on what to read to not fuck up and expects them to be prepared for the class, we saw that clearly in the first book. It's still possible to brew a standard potion by merely following the instructions on the board but an exceptional one comes from a deeper understanding of the subject.

Heh, Ashton Knight is the wizarding world's version of the Rebel Without a Cause.

Really? My primary school (Around a decade ago) regularly made the two Years 6s (Changed everyday, descending in alphabetical order) come in half an hour early and lay out the chairs for the school assembly. My secondary school made 2 Years 7s (CHanged everyday, descending in alphabetical order) act as gophers for the whole school.

Well, I've got quite a few years of pent up teenage rebellion to let loose. Let the indie!Ashton fics commence!

Cheers man. I like to live on the edge of life:cool:.

Though, it might have been because I didn't go to the greatest school in the world (It was far from being the worst though) but the attitude I 've described was pretty much the norm in the majority of my mid secondary school. There were always at least 2-3 kids who would act up in the worst ways possible and due to the already low numbers of students, the teachers were hesistant to permanently suspend someone.

I would like to point out though that I wasn't one of those kids. Worst thing I did was play noughts and crosses with my friend on our mini whiteboards.

I feel like the only time we see anything from within a classroom it's because Harry hates it.

What are we basing these rankings on...?
