If anything, I think the Triforce helps Sivir the most.

But then again... it's Sivir with 500 range AA's =(

 

Combined with his reappearance in the Korean scene with a particularly weird build, though I forget who it was.

Either way he had sorc boots and rushed triforce to sum it up from memory. The changes to triforce really helped him out though, alongside the 'death' of Bork on ADC's - the sheen proc is great and everything on Triforce benefits Corki, every single stat, arguably more-so than it does for Ezreal, but that's just me. Combined with the new phage and just, tri is pretty insane right now and it's nice to see more Jax/Irelia/Corki in games and Tri being built on a few more... interesting choices like Vi.

 

Parts 2 and 3 of series? Win lane but lose game because mid zed dropped for the first 5 minutes and his tower basically died before he got back, and some full retard throws. Second game, Jayce into Wukong again, and again I get my shit kicked in. Only lane that doesn't lose terribly is smurfing bot.

At 90 LP, queued again despite being quite on tilt after the horribad way I played as Jayce and went Cait for some shenanigans. Silly stupid shit like enemy Nidalee top giving up first blood, getting executed taking towers 3 times and getting dogpiled despite Nocturne, Zed and Vlad being the actual carries.

Need to learn more top laners, and more importantly, how2play Jayce again after 3.11a. Any recommendations for yolo queue? I'm not quite confident in my Jax to bring him out in ranked that much but I'm eager to try out some AP bruisers like Rumble before heading back into my series.

God, it really frustrates me how stupid people still are in Gold. The Nami I just played with had no fucking clue at all how to play bot lane and it ends up with us feeding their Lucian/Soraka.

How the fuck do people get to Gold and still have no fucking clue how to gauge how strong you are compared to the enemy.

 

Lost my promos due to excessive throws (1v5 baron steals, 5v2s bot with zero retaliation, afk in middle of lane, etc).

Gold 1 remains elusive.

 

Got those 1 wins in 3v3, actually team was 10/10 in games, but then we tried a different roster, with some added bronze, promotions didn't go too well


Still, rewards secured with gold 3, I am done tryharding for this season, serious ranked maybe at the end of next one.

 

Trhesh'd my way back to promo series. I'm going to take a break, and then tryhard some more. Hopefully Gold 1 by tomorrow.

1. Play first time Kassadin. Give up first blood to J4 Ahri gank, get carried by super Nasus who 1v2s all day and be useful picking off squishies, disrupting teamfights and ganking with teleport.

2. Keep even with Jax vs Nasus but lose because he hits 6 first and Shaco fucks up mid severely with an early gank. Trade decently, fall behind because he picks up assists in our jungle, lose game, teammates flame each other.

3. Same adc from last game goes jungle, first pick is Kog who gets shat on by Cait and Akali support. Pantheon mid is some stupid shit.

Sadness, another series poof and down to 90 again.

 

Akali support

Well, I've done an Akali duo-lane once or twice, but that was out of necessity because of how our sides picks ended up and nobody ended up jungling, and I only remember doing top with Ryze once. His snare helped, I suppose. Also, it wasn't ranked, thankfully.

 

After playing through two hundred and twenty three ranked games this season (and another 34 before the leagues system) I have finally managed to claw my way from my initial placement in Bronze II to the top of Silver I.

Now I get to endure my first promotion series to Gold V. Any guesses how many attempts it's going to take me?


EDIT: First game was a win. 8/0/12 as jungle Amumu. Those silly Gold people didn't respect the God of Bronze Tier.

Second game was a loss. 6/7/14 as Amumu again. Had a top lane Warwick who autopushed his lane without wards, died constantly to Shen and Lee Sin and blamed the rest of the team when they used their massive lead to destroy us.

Third game is was also a loss, 3/6/14 as Amumu for a third time. This time their top lane Nasus got realy fed with a kill top, a kill on me trying to gank him, then a double kill from teleporting to bot lane. It would've been fine because I got Elise mid fed 5/0 against Kassadin, but the team insisted on filing into the jungle to fight Nasus 1v1. Derp.

Game four was a win. 2/6/16 as top lane Trundle. Derped on a 3 man gank I should've spotted with wards early and Malphite was annoying to fight in lane, but building damage and then stealing all his armor made me unreasonably strong in team fights.

And now game five. I'm playing Corki. Aaaaaand it's a loss. 1/5/8. Top and mid feed their Udyr 8 kills and he goes on a fucking rampage. My Leona support is the most passive creature I've ever seen, completely incapable of being aggressive. I should've ignored what everyone else wanted to pick and chosen jungle because I could've shut that Udyr down. Lesson learned I guess.

 

Now that you mention it, I think I haven't seen an Amumu ban or pick since, like, Gold 4.

 

Jarvan's my favourite champion, but Amumu is a really close second. I'll always pick him first too because it's so much easier to carry a team. I'd first pick that little bastard all the way to Diamond if I wasn't terrible at this game.

 

I love Amumu, the only thing stopping me from picking him is his early squishiness combined wih how easy it is to invade and set him so far back it's ridiculous - and yet I play Nautilus, who has the exact same problems. Go figure.

It's more every time I saw an Amumu, he'd get invaded and either put behind or come out of it ok. Still my favourite jungler and probably second favourite LoL champion overall.

Still, there's hope for everyone to hit Gold. If I can do it than judging by knowledge and ability of most of the people in this sub-forum everyone can get there - it's just much more of a team effort which can really suck on those 3-2 days where you don't make it in.

 

The only time I can remember being really set back as Amumu is when an enemy Nunu went full trick2g mode and my team ignored him. Just starting at red is enough to avoid any early deaths. Amumu isn't nearly as blue dependant as everyone likes to think, unless you're still running magic penetration marks. Attack speed is the way to go.

 

So I stomp a game as Zyra mid to start the second series.

First two games I'm stuck as support. The first game everyone got fed, we had a massive lead but the team refused to group up and push, preferring to solo farm their lanes and feed their roaming gank squad instead. Second game my AD is terrible but I keep him alive. Can't do anything about the Jarvan top who feeds the hell out of Aatrox and Wukong.

The last game I'm Trundle top. Our 'support' Alistar has 12 games played this season in total, only has runes for AD carry and is so incredibly abusive that the AD and mid quit the game entirely rather than play with him. 11 minutes in and I'm stuck listening to this asshole blame everyone else.

I'm down to 52 LP.

Fucking ranked.
