That was a response to your post that you were now silver. You SHOULD be in silver due to the soft reset, and having an equal win/loss record for your provisional matches.

 

Went 4-6 in placements and fell from gold V to silver V. There're so many former gold players here that it really doesn't feel like silver but my +29/-14 win/loss LP changes should see me move up pretty quickly.

 

Finished season 3 Gold 5, went 8-2 (WLLWWWWWWW) in placements and jumped to go Gold 3.

 

I was amused to see my ranked page, after I got promoted:
"Earn 100 points and you will be eligible for promotion. Win 2 out of your next 3 games and you will be promoted to division null."

So... Gold 0?

Went 4-6 in placements. Was Gold 2, now Silver 3.

My second acc was Plat V, currently 0-4 in placements. I do have a Loss Prevented though, as those first 3 games was during a time people had random DC's.

 

So this morning, I went... fuck if I know, probably 3/3.

Lost 2 promo games in a row, then won the next two games easily, now I'm back in promos at 1/1. Apparently I'm being toxic today, because I actually expect you to let the malphite with teleport vs an all AD team split push as opposed to lee, who never ganked or farmed jungle effectively, and almost always died 1v1 to heimer top.

That being said, I should start playing heimer top...

 

Mmm, back in Plat again, after placements put me in Gold 4.

 

So, my smurf went 2-8 and placed in Silver 1 from Plat 5, 80 LP.

On the other hand, I went 4 straight wins on my main and am now 100 LP Silver 3. Hoping to skip Silver 2.

 

Looks like I'm still going on huge streaks. Went 7 straight losses earlier, and now I'm on 7 or 8 game win streak.

At least I'm back to Gold 5 on both my accounts

 

Ugh. Every time I try to get into this game the community reminds me about all the reasons I can't stand it. It's not bad enough that some players have to be absolutely toxic over nothing, but they also have to be 0/6/0 while doing so.

I was playing 3s with a friend who was jungling, and despite the fact that I didn't receive a single gank so he could babysit the Garen, apparently he 'never ganked.'

Then, after my friend signaled to fall back from the Zed who was absolutely going to make it back to turret, the Garen goes ham and chases them to turret and dies to Volibear. Then asks where the hell he was.

Copy and paste about 20 times and that's pretty much how the game went.


Not saying we played perfectly or anything (we actually spent a lot of time afterwards talking about what we could have done differently) but jeez, why do people have to make the process so painful?

Sigh. I just need to find a third for my team I guess. I'd rather lose a game with people who aren't total immature assholes than win one with people who are dicks throughout.

 

I'm done with ranked for a little while (until I forget I'm done with ranked). I had 3 terrible games after my demotion from silver 2 to silver 3. Just the attitude and coordination feels like it's in the shitter for everyone. I had an udyr who farmed his own jungle while everyone was losing their t1s, then when they were being dove at the t2 he cleaned up afterwards. Then he went back to farming, so it was no help at all. I was Jayce mid vs Ziggs (Who kept getting blues, and Udyr took his blue) so I was stuck trying to outpush a Ziggs while bot lane was losing very badly to poke lane (nid/cait) and top was getting crushed (Renekton vs Kayle, but with heavy trundle gank support for Ren).

 

Well, I skipped to Gold 3 after winning my Gold 5 promos 2-0.

 

Finally got around to playing my placement matches. Crushed my placements 8-2, and would have been 10-0 except in one game League crashed and forced me to download a three-hour patch before I could log in again, and in another our jungler never connected. I got placed in Silver 5, which makes me wonder just how low my mmr was last season... but I decided I don't want to know.

Anyway, I've been winning pretty much every game for the past few days and should go into S4 placements tonight. I wonder how high I can get this season? I've been playing just normals for about six months, so I'm curious where my skill level is at.

 

Just got through promos to Silver IV. The climb is real.

Also I would really really like it if my ping would stop fluctuating. This elo is easy enough to carry that I basically win if my ping is constant and lose if I get spikes, which is a very frustrating reason to lose.

It is forcing me to improve my decisionmaking and not rely just on mechanical ability, though, so not all bad -- in rewatching some recent replays I think my calls are getting better. I've also noticed that in season 4 gold difference really doesn't seem to matter much. In season 3 it basically felt like being five kills behind basically meant your team lost, but in season 4 a team that's down twice that can 5v5 and win. Not at all sure I really like that, though...

 

Being behind a bunch of kills doesn't matter that much if they had three dragons and farmed better, you know. Gold doesn't only come from kills.
