    Plat 5, we made it boyz. It surprisingly wasn't hard and the games here aren't as difficult as expected. I made it up to series for plat 3, but suffered an epic losing streak and now I'm back at plat 5 (55lp).

    I was surprised how little the skill level differs from silver 1 to plat 5 tbh. I've faced some last season diamonds in bot lane, and wow do those guys know how to trade in lane and abuse level advantages and various matchups.

    Especially with the elo inflation, there's really not much difference between plats and silvers anymore. But, I think it's for this reason they also raised the requirements for season rewards to Plat. So you can honestly think of Plat this season as last season gold, and the previous season's silver.

    Where did they talk about the raised requirements? I can't find anything on Season 5 rewards.

    On topic: Went 4-6 on my Gold 5 smurf and got into Silver 2. 2-6 on my Plat 4 main account. I've no idea how to carry games anymore.

    That's because the way you can carry games has changed. It used to be that one person getting ahead could be a fight-decider, but because the average level of skill and awareness has went up, as well as the dragon changes (they are now passive bonuses, not raw gold, which means no matter how hard you farm/kill people you can't get those exact benefits without buying complete items) carrying a game means doing it in a way that rallies your teammates to you, not simply crushing the enemies into dust.

    I don't think it's a for sure issue yet, but some rioter commented on it for a reddit post. It could easily still be gold for rewards, but I think the thought was to raise requirements.

    Well, I think i figured out something. 8 game win streak, though one of them I got carried as ADC.

    The new ward trinket is so good.

    I had already played a ranked game before with Sree and lost -- not his fault -- so I only got placed in Gold 2 even though we went undefeated.
