I don't mind H/G too much. If the plot is good I'll enjoy it, even if it get a little mushy.

My main complaint with H/G is the way it is portrayed in HPB. I mean come on... a monster roared in his stomach. Was Harry having a woody or something? Its just that entire thing felt off... like a partly fermented grape.

And btw the suddenly noticing someone isn't love, its more to do with lust.

Personally I find an overprotective Ron funny.

What gets on my nerves with overprotective Ron is that Harry acts like he is so scared of him. This is the kid that has faced Voldemort how many times, and he's scared of another kid who can't even say the man's name, much less cast a spell. Its just another add to the Harry is a bitch scenario, which I can't stand.

How is he going to take down the most powerful Dark Lord ever if he can't just say "Ron, I don't care what you think, I'm dating Ginny."

 

I think I'm already too poisoned against Ginny to ever like her.

Even if there was some amazing resurgence in the community and everybody started writing incredibly good well written Harry/Ginny fics I would still hate her.

I even hate the sound of her name, now.

 

like the very first reply stated, It was decided from Book 1 that Ginny was going to be for harry. Ginny's character has not been developed. In fact i often find myself confused by Ginny. Is she a funny? she seems too uptight at times to be funny, she is supposed to be attractive, even draco admits that, sure... she also seems a little slutty. only 15 and she has had about 4 boyfriends...

Personally I think harry is better of with no one. It is wat i expected for him until book 5, when he got scared cause ginny gave him an easter egg...and this comes from the boy who lived, whos greatest fear is fear itself....

And then there is that ridiculous comment at the end of HBP, suggesting Harry is only happy when he is fighting Voldemort, what a stupid thing to say. If I was harry i would have turned around and said "you are right, its dumbledores funeral and im sad, so ill go and find Voldemort cause when i fight him i feel happy..."

I hate ginny becose she is after the boy who lived not harry. Harry needs a girl that is for harry not his fame.

 

I personally believe the only way for Harry Ginny to work out would be for Harry and Ginny to get laid as a one night stand and for her to get pregnant because she didn't do the spell right or something. They'd get married because Molly would be on Harry's ass. And he'd be too much of a wuss to divorce her later.

 

I think I've read three stories where the ship actually worked out. Not even the way JKR put it made sense in my mind. I am mostly a Honks kind of guy, thouhg I love well written harry/bellatrix as well.

See? Anyways, I have found some H/G that makes sense as well, and I have read them and liked them, but that was only a few. I still dont like much of the H/G pairings.

 

H/G is just too expected and reads like its coated in syrup!

H/G fanfics but those that aren't I don't object to any more than any other pairing. I really don't like too much fluff in any story and that will put me off any pairing.
