thats quite an odd way to put it seeing as they arent real. Its not a discussion about whether Harry and Ginny are right for each other its a discussion about why we as readers dislike the pairing.

In canon it's strictly JKR's choice, yes, but it's also my choice not to read and/or acknowledge the slop and to instead read fanfic stories that pair him with a character I don't despise.

 

Exactly, noone is denying that JKR is free to write whatever she wants in her books. Hell, if she wanted to she could write that Harry falls madly in love with Kreacher. But what WE are saying, is that we dont like Harry/Ginny for various reasons and while we may put up with it in JKRs books because we have no choice, we'd rather not read fanon with the same thing. at least, thats what I think.

 

Indeed it is. As HP goes JKR is the one who decides what happened in the world. But that doesn't mean that we can't bitch and moan about it. It isn't just the paring thought. IF JKR had made a H/G a tad more realistic, and built it up I bet that most of the people here wouldn't be bitching about it.

Then there are the auspicious, or is that atrocious, fanfic writes that, through lack of imagination or real ideas of romance or reading too many romance novels, write H/G stories that make you want to gag. Yes there are those that write for other parings but since H/G is more common in Fandom we see it more.

Besides its fun to have discussions like this. Unless it gets immature…..

People have very different opinions of Ginny,like canon,fandom, or porndom(Made it up).Me,I hate her in canon,fanon,so I'll gladly put a bullet in the head .,for her.

The funny thing is that she wouldn't. People will have to buy the book in order to find out that it's Harry/Kreacher and this is unlikely to perturb most Potter fans. A sad truth.

I don't mind Ginny in canon. She does have Mulitple Character Disorder but apart from that, she's not a major character hence I don't really hate/love her. In Fanon however...*shudder* well that's a whole other story.

 

I think that the most any of us can HOPE for is that Harry will be set right in book seven, other than taht there's nothing we as fans can do about it.

 

Except pray that she recaptures her lost glory from the earlier books and stops being a amateur fanfiction writer....

It was the picture of Ginny Weasley. Harry stared at it as the rain grew stronger.

The picture was new, probably from the previous year. Ginny's photographic self stalked miserably and bit her lip as she got more and more soaked from the rain. She appeared to have been in the middle of a breakout when the photo was taken and desperately needed to have plucked her eyebrows. Her lips were dry too, Harry noted. There was a faint mustache (quite an accomplishment for a red head) but her upperlip way puffy nonetheless, as though she had attempted to wax it off but had failed.

Her now-wet shirt was going see through and Harry could tell she wasn't quite even underneath it. It rode up and her kilt dug into her hips, Harry had never before noticed her spare tire. One of her knee socks had fallen down, the other had a hole in it and a name tag with 'Bill' written in large letters. Not only that, but her knees were knobbier than Harry remembered too.

“Yeargh! Not quite as pretty as I remember,” Harry said.

Well, it seems that my expectations of Book 7 have reached an even lower level....if that is even possible.

She is really playing to her fans now it seems....i wonder if she reads fanfiction? It would explain a lot of the crap that was HBP.

Also seems that the love potion theory will be thrown out the window...

I have to admit in a way i admire the way she has built up her rabid fanbase....it would be all to easy for her to decide to extend the series to say... 10+books and her rabid little fans would keep buying them...without even noticing the plot holes.

Now to the reason i dislike Ginny? Well she seems snobbish,rude and a bitch to her brothers , and goes through boyfriends like old trash.

But one of the reasons WHY i really hate her these days... is the way she kept bitching about Fleur. It seems the only reason Ginny (and also Hermione) hate her is that Fluer makes them looks like warts on my ass.

 

I am actually surprised harry hasn't realized how ugly and incredibly stalker-like Ginny has become. A sensible author would have made harry banging Fleur instead of shyly going after ginny..
