Just wondering if anyone has had a crack at Red Alert 3? If so, whats it like in comparison to C&C Tiberium Wars and Generals? I loved Red Alert 1 and 2, they were epic.

 

Too bad it will (supposedly) contain in game advertising and the same DRM as spore. Other then that they have the epic soundtrack with the old music director. too bad too, it looked like a great game to further the Red Alert universe which i always liked more the C&C

 

My most played ps1 game was C&C Red Alert: Retaliation. My favourite rts game ever is Red Alert 2. My laptop will explode if I even think of playing Red Alert 3 on it. I am very sad .

 

I've got it, and I have to say this is an excellent expansion to the RA 'verse. It has the same feel, and many of the units are reminiscent of older ones (the Soviet Conscripts are practically unchanged). The music is as epic as ever, and the gameplay is right out of RA2 for me. The complaint about this game is that it's essentially the same as the one we've been playing for years now, but as someone who had Red Alert as his first RTS, I think that's excellent.

 

I ordered the fucker early, and the bastard still hasn't arrived. Typical.

You have to love the Red Alert Series though. A decade ago, it was a real time strategy game with cutting edge use of video clips and story line.

Now, they seem to be aiming at breaking into softcore porn, with an attached minigame for lulz.
