Not sure how this hasn't been receiving the same attention as The Sun Soul. Both very good stories but I prefer this, it has really given me an itch I can't scratch. Hopefully the author keeps a good update rate. The only thing I don't like about it is how strong the psychics are.

 

What do you mean by that? My computer only shows 34 chapters.

Anyway, I honestly like this better than Sun Soul. I couldn't really get into Sun Soul for some reason, but it's the complete opposite for Regret. Despite the fact that Crukix could really use a beta in some cases, I find it doesn't really take away from the overall immersion.

I'm definitely interested in how him having that Gallade turns out. It would be crushingly anticlimactic for him to only use it once in a while to communicate with his other pokemon. Though I don't really expect Crukix to do that anyway.

So far I give it a solid 5/5.

 

He means the fact that the protagonist hates Gallade and Gardevoir, and the fact of the rape/attempted rape (wasn't really paying attention).

A Skarmory that can't fly? I was a bit surprised. IIRC, she was 3 years old when he caught her, and for the life of me, I can't imagine a bird-type who was meant and born for flying that doesn't know how, considering that Skarmory doesn't have a pre-evolved type. I can understand Charizard being taught to fly since his previous two forms can't. Skarmory though? Fill me in here... The only exposure I have to Pokemon are the fanfics or the games, so if the manga or cartoons had an influence in this, I might be lacking in knowledge.

 

Skarmory should be able to fly, but I guess Crukix just wanted to spice things up a bit, make sure - you know, I just realised that I don't even know the guy's name, anyone help me out on this? - the protagonist doesn't have it too easy. >_>

 

I'm pretty sure that the main characters name has never been mentioned.

 

Yeah, I thought as much too after a while. It's quite odd to realise that the character you've been reading about for 20-ish chapters hasn't even mentioned his name.

 

I'm getting the feeling that his name will play an important, if not crucial part near the climax of the story.

I knew, what with the whole chapter intro foreshadowing a crushed Pokeball incident (Twenty bucks on Xander or Erra. The narrator guy was expounding on how little he knew Xander, and just made progress with Erra. Either one wouldn't surprise me), that something like that would happen, but damn. But for the love of Arceus, if he actually gets sold as a slave or something, fuck this. Alastair to the rescue, calling it. Loved Mia's story, loved the Sophie explanation and just loving it all.

 

Great fucling chapter. 5 stars.

 

Well, just finished reading it and I have to say I'm quite impressed by it. I've only read this and The Sun Soul, and I like this one better although they are both quite good. I actually didn't think the rape scene was overdone that much, and it does create the interesting scenario between him and Adryan.

My money is on Scar or Erra being the ones in the pokeball. Also, the intro parts at the beginning of each chapter are fantastic. 5/5

I think most people would since they're the two best developed Pokemon (imo). But what would be more unexpected then that?
