So I reread the first book and is now about 100 pages into the second book. I got to say I forgot how fucking awesome the first book was. The ending was so fucking satisfying.

Now is the time to complete the second book and finally start the third one.

Look at the name, it should be obvious.
Just finished The Republic of Thieves, I don't know if Lynch will ever be able to recapture the magic of Lies but this was a fine addition to the Gentleman Bastard series.

Loved the Karthain stuff especially with the Bondsmagi, that storyline had me riveted. On the other hand, I found the storyline from their past to be a tad bit boring. That's pretty strange to me because I usually love the Gentleman Bastards' history. Maybe, it's just the Poly Sci major in me but I thought the election stuff was great and I wanted more of it instead of the Gentleman Bastards through their teenage years.

Ezri > Sabetha.....Maybe, I just expected something else or my expectations were a bit high but I found Sabetha to godsdamn irritating. If Lynch wants to keep her away for the next couple of books, I would be pretty happy.

The reveal of Locke's origins drew a very mixed reaction from me. I like it as of right now but if Scott Lynch goes cliche on me, I would be so disheartened. I like the way Locke is now and I would rather not have him fucked with.

Patience is fucking awesome. Probably my new favorite character in this book, Sabetha couldn't hold a fucking candle to her,

Oh and sweet merciful Crooked Warden, that epilogue. Gods, that left me yearning for more.

Speaking of Patience, I've never wanted a character in this series dead more than her. Fuck Patience.

As for Sabetha and Locke, it was both better and worse than I was expecting. Some parts were annoying, but overall I liked it.
