Make him MUCH more into the Half-Blood Prince. (IN the back of the book there is written in a margin, "LEARN OCCLUMENCY" and Harry will realize its importance. Also, have him keep the Felix Felic for himself. (This means, Hermione, Ron, and Ginny all will die.) and PUt Cormac McClaggan on the Quidditch team. Harry should be captain of the Quidditch team Cause of the benefits he gets as Captain (i.e. he gets all the benefits of a prefect including private bathroom, access to restricted section, etc.)

 

To point out the obvious, actually have him train by himself/Order members on dueling, Occlumency (sp?) etc. Also have Dumbles teach defensive/offensive magic not going through memories of young Riddle.
Also I have to agree on taking out the Remus/Tonks ship

 

Make Voldemort at least have 1 appearance

Remove the Pensieve scenes and give Harry some power other than his 'amazing' love. Leave the luck potion it's just strange.

 

Give some final closure on the Harry/Cho issue. I'm not saying necessarily to have them get back together (though I wouldn't mind). But at least let them have a serious conversation and reconcile things one way or the other.

 

Here are my suggestions.

Keep the orphanage pensieve scene, as it is an important look into how Voldemorts mind works.

Actually make the Half-Blood Prince into someone.

Have Ron turn evil, betray Harry, then die.

Have Ginny die a horrible painful death.

Free Bella from Voldemort.

Give Harry a relationship with Tonks...

 

Of the Dumbledore "Training scenes" (HAH, training)

Leave only the orphanage scene and have Harry get Slughorn to admit to the Horcruxes on his own. That is all.

 

No make it so that Slughorn doesn't have an idea about the whole thing (just say the person that told Tom about Horcrux died), so that the Horcrux are really secret.
