    lol?

    Anyways, I like Remus.
To quote Tarus, "People who like Remus Lupin: We like Remus Lupin because he screws up like normal people, but has some redeeming traits, also like normal people."
He isn't the best person ever but I never really hate him like some characters.

It's not the worst of necroposting--at least the poster had something cogent to add. (Beats the heck out of starting a new thread). Though I disagree with Resident Weevil--curse notwithstanding, it was entirely Lupin's fault for forgetting to take the Wolfsbane. Personal responsibility and all that.

It wouldn't be his fault if, say, just prior to raising the cup and touching his lips to the draught, a meteorite falls, ricochets off the Womping Willow, bounces twice on the flagstones outside the castle, smacks into an owl, and causes it to screech and startle Lupin into dropping the potion. That's more along the lines of the bad juju surrounding a powerful curse. Not that it slipped his mind because he wanted to play "hide the gerbil" with his schoolyard chum.

You do realize that seeing (on the map) a man believed to be dead for 12 years suddenly alive would cause a shock on a scale similar to the above? Not to mention the doubts that began to appear in his mind about the true betrayer of the Potters.

Am I remembering wrong, or does Snape bring out the potion to the Shrieking Shack? Doesn't he say "You left it on your desk, along with the map..." or something like that?

They all are pretty dumb to forget after that.

No Snape saw the map with Sirius, Lupin and Harry and co. going to the Shrieking Shack and went to go after them to capture Sirius and get Lupin in trouble for helping a convict. Snape never brought the potion because he was going to capture both Lupin and Black, and I think I remember him saying how he was hoping to earn an Order of Merlin for it.

Ah yes, you're right. But he DID remind them that Lupin had forgotten.
