I stayed up last night & read this, I thought it was an amazing read! I love the propaganda spread by the DP, the noted submission of the shopkeepers on Diagon Alley. Very well done, have bookmarked it on my alert list, I am so looking forward to more chapters! 5/5 Highly recommend!

Shezza has said that he was testing or something along the likes of that. But he said like last week that he was done and that he would start updating again soon, though he did not mention which of his many stories would be updated.

Very good fic with some really original ideas, although I'm a little leery of some of the OCs with their 'smoky green eyes' and 'lustrous raven black hair'. As they are they're fine, but these phrases are almost always the precursors to the Super!OC, which I hope won't happen. Otherwise though, I'm really liking Harry and the older versions of the canon characters. The shield test was a rather neat device too.

Great fic. You write great battle scenes. Edit: 4.5/5

Here's my analysis of the fic (not a criticism, mind you):

Harry's losing against Voldemort. Voldemort has far superior resources and men; it's only a matter of time before he overwhelms Harry. The time for Harry to destroy Voldemort was when he first established his realm, and he did do great damage. But he didn't do enough to utterly annihilate Voldemort. It's like Hannibal who won every battle he fought against the Romans but lost the war because he could never conquer Rome itself.

Moreover, Voldemort won the battle for the peoples' hearts and minds. As you proved in the scene with the wands, most of the people dislike Voldemort. However, they're in too much fear to do anything about it. Worse still, Harry is regarded as worse than Voldemort. Like every guerrilla war chief - which is what Harry essentially is - he needs popular support to defeat his enemy, and he doesn't have it.

In addition, Voldemort still has 2 Horcurxes (if Harry succeeds in destroying this one).

Harry's power has gotten weaker and weaker over the past two decades, while Voldemort's has increased. I bet his raids and attacks nowadays pale in comparison to what they were a decade ago. Nowadays, the only thing that Harry can do is to raid and win some minor skirmishes against aurors - notice that his forces don't stand a chance against death eaters in Britain, which is why he always retreats. Eventually, Voldemort WILL get strong enough to conquer Azkaban if the story continues like this. edit: Think of Harry as Taiwan and Voldemort as China. Taiwan will never conquer China. But in a century or two, China will rule over Taiwan.

The only way for Harry to possibly win the war is for him to invade with the support of foreign troops. But essentially he becomes an occupying power while Voldemort can, if he uses the proper methods, become the savior of Britain. Still, Harry could win if Voldemort failed to do this or if Voldemort was killed.

Or you could make Harry win with the method used by the majority of fanfiction - make Harry discover an uber!cool magical power and defeat Voldemort by becoming Super!Harry.

I absolutely love your analysis, and I'm flattered that you took the time to write it.

Yep. In every single way, without a doubt, completely and utterly right. Consider the Order of Phoenix, where today, there are only two-hundred or so members (as seen in chapter three). 200 members in an extremely large wizarding population, which suggests that recently they've been inflicted with some pretty signifcant losses in which they cannot replace. As said in the last chapter, Harry almost managed to destablise Voldemort's reign just after the Fall of the Ministry, but he failed, and Voldemort succesfully consilidated his power, and the best time, like you said, was lost.

Not much to say. The assesment pretty much sums it up.

But in a century or two, China will rule over Taiwan.[/I

Here's where I disagree. I think that Harry has got even more powerful over time. If he was more powerful in his twenties, Voldemort would have been destroyed. I sort of base this on the popular theory that Wizards and Witches expierence their prime in their elder years. I don't suppose you could reply and tell me how you interpreted those conclusions, cause I certainly don't want to be portaying that in the story.
Other than that, I will say that Voldemort's "strength" is increasing, but I can't say too much, or else I'll spoil it. Like the metaphor, lol.

I figure that if Voldemort is killed, as well as his most loyal, Harry would be able to keep control over the masses, because most of them despise and fear Voldemort anyway. A fullout war between various wizarding nation is something that everybody, except Voldemort, wants to avoid. Voldemort thrives on death and suffering, so he'd enjoy it. Then again, I haven't really portrayed that yet, have I?

Or you could make Harry win with the method used by the majority of fanfiction - make Harry discover an uber!cool magical power and defeat Voldemort by becoming Super!Harry.

Hmph. Super!Harry. I think not. I'll tell you one thing, he does have a power, but it isn't the cliched Wandless Magic/Elemental Magic/whatever.

Considering that Harry has managed to over power Flitwick since he started training I’d say he was getting more powerful. At no point does the story give reason for the reader to think that Harry is loosing any personal power. He has just lost the public power that usually used to come with being on the Good Side.

Also Voldemort himself started out like Harry is now. He used scare tactics to defeat the people before the battle had even begun. So we cannot rightly say that Harry will necessarily need a huge army to defeat The Dark Lord.

Avoiding most clichés this story continues to be very thrilling. Considering that this is written by the guy who got me interested in Azkaban!fics I am not surprised in the least.

Note: Shezza I am not sure Jon is too happy with you turning his beloved Daphne into a Inferius!DeathEater. :p

Oh, get over it! lol. Well, I needed a name, so Daphne came up. If it makes him feel better, at least she's on Harry's side...sort of.

Shezza I am not sure how you manage to make all of your stories masterpieces that capture the readers attention.

I am really enjoying the way that this story is going so far. The fact that Harry is not supper and is able to take damage and actually run away always gives it ++ points. You have managed to keep the cannon characters personalities only age them and give them the "war outlook". It is really well done.

I do hope we get some Lord Voldemort in here soon, and I really hope you have not made him a fat political man who can't find worth a damn anymore. As he is my favorite char I hope you do his character justice.

As for the other nations staying out of the way....I can agree with everyone but America... Lets take a look at recent history, when has America stayed away from Britain in it's time of need? When has it not found some cock-un-bull reason to go in and kill the "bad guy"?

I believe he has an epilogue planned so it's not complete yet and he said real life has gotten in the way at the moment so who knows it may fall JUST short, though I highly doubt it.

Dammit, here I was taking a plunge for a Shezza story, so certain that it was finished, yet it turns out that mere inches from the finish line you're still crawling.

Awesome just like Denerian Harry, but I regret having read this since I never got that Epilogue.

4.5/5 I saw everything as being perfect except for that damn 'logue.

Damn you, my mind will forever be tormented with not knowing what happened unless you ever post It.

But seeing as how it has been nearly half a year since the last activity on this story I guess we will never know.

I still feel sad over this, why must you do this?

It is ultimately your fault should Emo!thisperson ever occur

Fanboy syndrome taking over...better post and run Shezza those pitchforks look mighty tempting.

    /thisperson *slit*

Still loved it...on a more serious note, do you have an epilogue planned and if so are you still writing It?

This is, without a doubt, my favorite Post-HBP fic ever! It's actually quite creepy how close this was to the REAL DH in some places. Fantastic battles, great writing all around, interesting characterations, massively entertaining. 5/5, no question about it!
