    Darkness?

Everything can go inside it right? If light illuminates everything, darkness can always take it away.

I was thinking along the same lines earlier and I just find it too damn funny to consider it as a possibility for the correct answer.

:| Umm... no a vagina is most certainly not the correct answer, neither is darkness.

    Incorrect, I'm afraid.

*sigh*... I suppose I should go with Aekiel on this one, nobody seems to be getting any closer and It's hard to edit the riddle without giving it away completely.

    "Life, the universe; everything.
Everything can go inside me -" >This is all metaphorical; it doesn't literally go inside.

"simplicity incarnate." >the bit everyone missed out. A physical thing that shows simplicity.

I am the protector of new life.
But when my job is done,
    my fate is inevitable:
Shatter and Decay. >All literal. Darkside was on the right lines with this.

    Ring any bells yet?

    ...want the answer?

    ..... do you?

    A nutshell :)

Now I shall have to think up something equally perplexing.

    Anna: You bet I was.

ROFL hahaha. What a totally anti-climatic answer. Go Dango-Fetish! Bet you were laughing at everyone when they couldn't get it. :p

I knew I'd be kicking myself when I found out what it was, and I was right :p.

Good riddle, had the whole lot of us perplexed.

    Anyone got any more? :p

This is the best I could think up right now. Not sure how it will compare to the last but...

"Sing me joy, and I will bestow it upon others,
Shout anger, and I will Incur the sadness of others,
Cry out for me to travel a marathon and I will do so.

Just don't say to me: "be still".
    For that would be impossible."

Zoken: Lawl! :D Good answer, but wrong.

This is the wrong answer, but I need to get the wrong one off my chest before I can think of the right one...A puppy?

    as for a good riddle:

    Whoever builds me, Sells me
Whoever Buys me, gives me away
Whover owns me, does not know that they own me

Well I think Dango Fetish's riddle might be a storm or the wind?

No idea on Zoken's, I'll give it some more thought and get back to it.

    Dango: Sound

    Zoken: Intelligence

And now, i'll repeat my earlier riddle no one has answered.

    From the Ancient Greeks
    To our modern day
    I have been worn
And no matter what you say
It has always been for a lie

    What am I?

I should mention that my riddle refers to an actual physical object, thusly no answers so far are correct.

    Dango: A heart?

InfernoCannon's answer was close enough. I was actually looking for "voices".

    To answer Inferno's I'd say... "a face"?

Inferno - A mask? I remember having to wear those horrible masks in Classics during college, horrid they were. Gave me the creeps.

I can't quite guess what Zoken's is, but I've got an inkling about something.

Inferno - a mask, though I just realized Aekiel guessed that too... well I can't think of anything else, face paint? something that covers your face?
