Regardless, after HBP, I stopped considering anything JKR said character related as canon, so this matters little to me. She can say she is married to whatever character she wants.

 

I think she's smoking something. She has to be. The past few interviews/appearances by her seem to be really off the mark.

And thats HP after a few years...... While I didn't imagine him as being dashingly handsome thats a little hard to chew... actually its pretty indigestible.

Nah, it was obvious, years ago, she was Ginny because of all the yakking she did about how romantic King's Cross is and meeting her love there, et cetera. She may mention similarities she has with Hermione but she's totally Ginny.

Also, her husband looks way more like the kid who plays Neville. Hehe.

 

Who the fuck knows? This is the woman who decided to that it was pertinent to announce Dumbles was gay, after the fact he was dead (& good ridance).

The person I pity here is her husband . . . daily, millions of fangirls write about or envision his likeness performing acts of a questionable nature. Except for the shit babies, no one can say that’s natural.

I concur. The last few interviews and now this have proved that a long stay in the asylum is imperative for her.

 

First saying that Dumbledore is gay, and now this? I seriously think that JKR is trying to screw over HP fans.

This is irrelevant to the extreme. So what if the author has this fantasy of marrying her own creation. It makes even less of an impact than saying that Dumbledore was gay.

But, fuck, she envisions that Harry's going to look like that thing when he's ~50 years old?

 

Are you implying that the children' book author J.K. Rowling is a size queen? It would certainly explain why Hagrid is a favorite character of hers.

However this little tidbit doesn't compare to the fact that she made Dumbledore gay, which might ruin one of the greatest characters in the HP series.

 

...what gets me is just how out of left fucking field her interview responses are. The woman has now spent more than a decade writing the Harry Potter Universe. Surely she has a stack of unpublished, private notes that she's read over a million times over the years that she could use as a definitive source when answering these questions.

And if she doesn't...well she ought to.


Of course, blame needs to be passed around fairly. An entire universe that seems to have a conflict of interest between free will and destiny, good and evil, a million magical outlets that are never fully explored, dozens of characters with blank-slate pasts...

And some shit decided to ask 'Which character would you marry?"

1. It's OK to die, in fact it's not so bad. Way cooler on the other side, dude.
2. Friendship is far more important than family, who you produce children with, or any other human relationship you may have.
3. You don't have to better yourself if you are self-righteous, rich and famous, or if you are a good friend to such a person.
4. Producing progeny--the ultimate happy ending without any regard to the rest of the story. I want a picture of someone burning that epilogue...

I'm definitely picking up an "Anne Rice insanity" vibe here, although I doubt she would ban fanfic.
