I've just been replying because he's been posting at me lol.

and why would i need to look busy? I like posting in realtime when people are actually around to interact with, it's better than me slogging through posts trying to make sense of things. my most organic reads historically have developed when things happen in the moment and im around as the posts are being posted to witness them.

Because I think as mafia, early in the game when there isn't a lot for you to do because you know everyone's alignment, picking on someone is easier than pretending to scumhunt elsewhere.

That scum tend to not attack you is true. Scum are more likely to read you town too early because you will be cleared down the line if you are town.

It does not account for everyone. Some people go against the grain if it feels right.


Acio can work for a townread. If he is town I might get to that conclusion, maybe.

 

I agree with all of these stances, maybe we'll actually see eye to eye with each other this game.

I'm maybe? a little more confident that Cobalt is town than you are, his interaction with Vaimes & Acio here feels very natural and think him not backing down re; moving his vote makes plenty more sense as town whereas as scum he'd set himself up to move to Jari/Acio without any issues. I also might add Acio to the town pool too, I think he's just wrong on Vaimes and if he's town I'm sure he'll notice such in time but I think he believes what he's stating and the angle of questioning he's asking although this is a weaker read.

 

ftr I haven't been actually scumhunting yet because shitposting as previously mentioned, but:

Jarizok for his weird as fuck posts at me and being the one whose vote on you actually caught my eye.

Acio is fine I guess. I think the fact that he wanted an answer to his question and chased me down for it is townleaning.

Something about the way Jan is posting seems town Jan to me but he's always an actual enigma and makes my head hurt so I'm not putting much weight into it.

I know I said I didn't like dropping reads so early but apparently its time to be serious so

I just get the exact same vibe from his posts and our exchange from witch hunt and its hard to fake that precisely.

It's not about whether you think it's a reason that has much weight, it's about whether Vaimes does and I've seen him use that type of reasoning multiple times in the past as town. I disagree with your assessment of #62, I get equally frustrated when people chime in answering something I wanted someone else to answer regardless of my read on the person. I think if you step back and re-ISO Vaimes right now you'll realise he's town, if not then probably later in the day phase.

If you're still around I think I'd rather talk about other players with you; what do you make of Jari/Jan?

Please take into account that you spent the majority of that game knowing his alignment, so perhaps you missed out on some town cues from him.

I know town!Vaimes won't drop off so I don't care too much about it.


Acio is not someone I read that well and I am fine with waiting for him to do something that I agree on. What he is doing is not bad, but he is reading Von in a way I would not even consider myself.


I like that you said before the game started that you would be less active but you couldn't stop yourself from doing your thing.

But no, honestly, I think both Cobalt/Yourself are town and think your irritation with his lack of moving his vote and how you're handling him due to it is somewhat akin to the F4, his reason of "I've not started reading with my full game face on and I'll vote when I have" is completely fair and actually a town tell here.

This is fair, I've not actually read any Acio posts outside of Obs so I don't have a lot (or really any) meta to read him based on, I just don't have an issue with what he's doing so far alignment wise.

This is not singling out any one person, just Eido is a cranky Eido if people are complaining about this. Take the extra 2 seconds to push modifiers and such.

 

I know this is probably how Regfan always posts, but a scum Regfan would be a bit more opportunistic when it came time to make these reads, I'd think. It's much easier to let people fight over Vaimes and blab if it makes Vaimes look bad, and he has no reason to put down a townread on me when other people were giving me the side-eye for my shitposts.

That, and his tone, train of thought, and logical process are near-identical to most of the posts he made in WH so I'm kind of riding that vibe until I have a reason not to.

Also this confused the shit out of me but there's no way a w/w Vaimes and Regfan EVER fake this kind of weird interaction in the thread - whatever went on unspoken between them needed to be said in such a vague manner because they'd have no other way of telling each other what ever it is wasn't said here.

Regardless, I don't think scum Vaimes or scum Regfan ever make this interaction if the other is town, and they'd have no reason to do it as w/w because it'd be the most strange forced interaction I've ever seen in a game of mafia.

So, I'm pretty content with towncircling Vaimes and Reg.
