    So the summary is cheesy, the story name is nothing too inspiring and the nature of the crossover may raise some eyebrows - and you know what, fair - but maybe it is the sleep deprivation talking but I really enjoyed myself in this story.

    I watched the first two seasons or so of MLP like five years ago and I had a good time but since then have fallen out of the fandom. Apparently a lot has happened, more characters, more alicorns (the unicorn/pegasus hybrids)a ton of movies and a side series. Yeah, I don't think you need to know any of that because I don't.

    Only piece of information you do need to know is that of the main character here. As far as I can tell, Sunset Shimmer is a new character from the Equestria Girls spinoff which takes place in another world to which Sunset, once apprentice of Celestia, fled to. That world is of course a high school and she started out as a villain and I think she is getting redeemed.

    Coming finally to the premise of the story, instead of going to the Equestria Girls dimension, Sunset arrived in the RWBY world, as a faunus and is trying carve her own path to greatness there because what she wants more than anything is to be successful, powerful and universally celebrated and beloved. Her personality is actually rather engaging, someone rather arrogant, self-serving and quite a bit cynical but never not somewhat sympathetic, at least to me.

    The teams are reshuffled big time, with three more characters (not counting Sunset). I don't know for sure if they are OCs or MLP characters but I don't really think that matters. They aren't particularly interesting but they don't matter that much either. Couldn't even tell you in which teams they are. The changes are so big that it is a bit hard to keep track of all the teams but since the focus is mostly on the main group with only slight forays into the others, it usually works out. For example, Weiss is the leader of a new OC, Cardin and one of the other former CRDL members, having really drawn the worst possible team. Blake and Yang are also leading their own teams. The constellations in general are fun enough, I suppose, but the real treat of the story so far is the interaction between Sunset and her team. She is leading Ruby, Phyrra and Jaune and she is clashing rather interestingly with all of them in different ways.

    The writing itself is competent, I like the dialog for the most part and I haven't really noticed any typos. The story isn't that fast paced but it isn't desperate to follow canon either. It's still in the RWBY first semester but hasn't stopped at any of the canon points because the teams and circumstances are so different that they haven't led to that.

    So, it is not the best thing out there, or particularly groundbreaking but an interesting and fun story with a surprisingly compelling main character who is having none of that friendship bullshit so i am rather curious as to how things will go down.

    4/5 so far. Gonna keep an eye on it. Reminded me a bit on those other RWBY new team stories I recced a few months back but I think that is a different author.

    Anyone else read these fandoms? I'm not that much of a MLP fan myself, but we need to get some activity. It sits here much longer and its getting moved into the library based on the OP. I'm not a fan of MLP crossovers, and the bits I glanced of at this while decently written are just not that interesting. Kinda hard to wrap my brain around.

    I have to say, I kinda fell off a month or so after I recced the story here but the story has been consistently updating and huge respect for reaching the 1 million word mark in a year. Dunno if I will ever get back into it but still, impressive.
