Good writing. Seems promising from a literary standpoint. But the fact that you are keeping the story canon does make me slightly wary. Still, I'm interested in seeing where you go with this.

Btw, I'm not so concerned with H/G as with how I get the impression you'll be sticking Harry with the normal canon cast, specifically the rest of the Weasley clan.

I don't know how you work that out considering it's only one chapter. Personally I'm off the same opinion as Mrriddler.

 

First of all, thanks for the review everyone.

About cannon, I mentioned it earlier that I was going to make it as close to cannon as possible. What I meant was that all HP books published are taken to account. What's different is that after the horcrux hunt, when the final showdown between Harry and Voldemort took place, Harry didn't win. Though Voldemort didn't kill him but instead took him as a prisoner to torture out of him the secret of the prophesy. The flashback on the beginning of the prologue was his memory of his escape, or rather someone let him of.

The H/G marriage was rushed. As Mrs. Weasley mentioned in HBP during a discussion of the B/F wedding, people rush into commitment during wartime because their scared.

Now the Weasley clan, four of them are dead, I think. They will all be mentioned though the plotline doesn’t circle around them. Bill will probably be the one who’ll be most active for he has a few points that are more or less essential to the story.

New characters will be introduced and everything that has happened between HBP and Ginny’s death will be explained throughout the following chapters.

I’m actually supposed to writing now, so I best get back to it.

This is just a prologue in WbA from a former member (Piccaboo hasn't logged in for 3+ years). The premise is that the war with Voldemort has been raging for years, with Harry unable to stop it. He's now married (to Ginny) with children, and he and Hermione are Unspeakables.

One day he is summoned from work to discover Gin-nay and his kids have been murdered.

And there you have it. A few thousand promising words from three years ago, but certainly nothing that belongs in the library.

Alright, so following the new link, one is brought to simply a prologue in the WbA. The story is abandoned I assume. Also, given the size alone it's not worthy of the Library but it will be judged by what's there.

Basically to sum it up: Harry and Ginny are married with kids. Harry and Hermione are unspeakables which is a plus. Kingsley shows up shaken, and his family has been seemingly murdered from the looks of it.

Showed some promise at the time I suppose, was nothing special though. 3/5 for what's there, 2/5 since it's abandoned. I'd recommend to remove this from the library considering everything.
