    I've been writing out character sketches for my DC/HP cross, but I've run into a bit of a snag;

    I've been using CeltX for the moment, mostly due to its ability to keep notes and character sketches easily on hand, in one document.

    Unfortunately, the tools themselves are very piss-poor, so I need to find a replacement program, because the inefficiency is driving me nuts.

    Scrivener is the best I've encountered, functionality-wise, so far, but -unfortunately- I can't afford the $40 for a license.

    So, does anyone know of any alternate screen-writing software on Scrivener's level?

    Hopefully, this will help more than just me - if someone else out there needs suggestions, too.

    Think this is about the third time this topic has appeared. But essentially for PC, you've got CeltX, Liquid Story Binder, ywriter and Scrivener.

    Honestly, I used to use Scrivener and CeltX, but now I just use a word document and use the document map features. Simple, but effective.

    Something else you could try, I think Howard Taylor recommended it once, is creating a personal wiki with something like WikiPad.

    And if you thought Scrivener was horribly overpriced for a shitty piece of software— :D

    I enjoy final draft. Gets things done nicely.

    Of course not having to pay a cent for it pushes it up the rankings a bit. ;)

    Using yWriter5; the note making in it is incredibly good.

    Thanks for the suggestions.
