As far as recommendations after that go:

Avatar: The Last Airbender / Legend of Korra
    Neon Genesis Evangelion
    Legend of Zelda
    Pokemon
    Mass Effect
    Dragon Age

All of them have a moderate following on DLP and fairly sizable archives on ff.net

EDIT: I went through the Library's Other Fandoms section and picked out the things that pop up more than a few times.

    Halo
    Highschool DxD
    How To Train Your Dragon
    Frozen
    Elder Scrolls
    Worm
    Percy Jackson
    Inheritance Cycle
    Ranma
    Code Geass
    Sword Art Online
    Familiar of Zero
    Danny Phantom
    Teen Titans
    Justice League
    Marvel and DC
    Death Note

Either I'm stupid, or the character selection doesn't work. Isn't it supposed to drop down like the categories-section when you click into it? And typing something in the field always returns "no match".

Yeah, included and excluded characters aren't being populated until you select (or re-select for the default) fandom.

I've also upped the version of the assets, so they should automatically reload on next pageview.

I've cleared my cache and cookies about 4 or 5 times now and I still have to select a different Fandom and then back again to get characters for Harry Potter.

There seems to be a problem with 'Sort by DLP review score'
With Harry Potter and no filter whatsoever, at Order Descending, it starts with a fic of rating 2.80 stars, then 4.44, 3.40 etc
    Code:
    [URL]http://scryer.darklordpotter.net/search?utf8=%E2%9C%93&search[/URL][fandom]=224&search[title]=&search[author]=&search[summary]=&search[language]=&search[status]=&search[rating][]=k&search[rating][]=k%2B&search[rating][]=t&search[rating][]=m&search[wordcount_lower]=&search[wordcount_upper]=&search[chapters_lower]=&search[chapters_upper]=&search[sort_by]=_dlp&search[order_by]=desc
Order:Ascending returns the exact same result as descending.
    With Naruto, I get
Same with ASoIaF, AtLA, Avengers, Bleach and probably every non-potter fandom on the list.

    Also, your OP claims
    You should update that.

The DLP-rated stories only include stories in the main library, e.g. HP stories.

As for the ordering, I've solved that recently.

Is there a way to reject specific pairings or pairings in general? Because I want to read fics that feature Remus and Lupin without them being romantically involved.

I don't think you can have a fic about either of them without the other. ;)

Not yet, no. And even if there were, it'd have issues since not all pairings are marked as such from before FFN had pairing support. Even new ones often fail to mark them. That said, it's on my list of things to do.

    Updates

You can now create an account on Scryer which will pave the way for a lot of personalization features (e.g. saved searches, auto-tracking of read stories). You'll be able to link your DLP account soon (and/or create an account from a DLP account).

Otherwise, mainly performance enhancements, polish, and small bugfixes.

I don't post much but I just wanted to thank you for this great Service you provide with Scryer.
I have multiple issues with the integrated search functions of fanfiction.net and all of those I can think about are addressed by Scryer.

And for that I just wanted to say, thank you it is greatly appreciated.

    Yet another bug report:
I select a non-potter fandom. Select a few character restrictions. See something I don't like in many of the summeries, so I press the back button. Scryer fails to keep the characters. Slightly annoying. So when I try to put the characters back in, I press the list and out pops Harry P. In a non-potter fandom
This bug can be user-fixed by selecting yet another fandom, then making your way back to the original, so it's low priority.

Also, I want to thank you for making this excellent tool. Thank you.

As a workaround for now, click the green Search link on the results page to go back and keep your selections.

Suggestion: Maybe restrictions on the 'time since last update'. So you can select Updated within x days, published within x days, maybe something like that?

Bugs: I had some trouble with scryer on my Kindle. I pressed the 'green Search link on the results page', and Scryer remembered nothing. Not the fandom, not the summary restrictions, nothing.
For reference, I have a Kindle Paperwhite. I'll edit in the firmware version once it reboots from BSOD.
Edit: firmware version is Kindle 5.4.4.2

Updated/Published within is a good idea, I'll add that.

I'm not sure about Kindle Paperwhite and don't have access to one to test. I'm guessing something with the cut-down browser has issues. It's hard to fuck up though, it's a link with query parameters, no JS magic. If you were to click on the following link with your Kindle, does it do the right thing? (~813 results)

    The link does work.
Also, I tried another search: Star trek: Next generation, Summary has word Test, Exclude Kestra T, and when I clicked search, it came back fine.
    Thank you.
