Can anyone recommend a good Marauders fic with Peter Pettigrew actually included and acting like a friend to James, Sirius, and Remus?

 

I have to admit, I absolutely love the deliciously dark characterization the author gave Harry.

 

Only read it about a month ago, the Daphne characterization is the best out of what I've read over the last six months. Other than that I think I like his Buffy stuff more for whatever reason.

 

Now I really want to read story like this.

 

Gotta say, I really enjoyed this story. It started off a bit too angsty for my tastes, but it was a fun read.

 

Hey, does anyone remember a story where Harry travels to an AU, takes a divination position and joins the Order. There is a scene in the Department of Mysteries, where he duels Voldemort.

I think he was teaching some form of Legilimency instead of divination in his classes.

Does anyone know of any stories where Dumbledore and Harry work with Voldemort (or Tom Riddle) like in Harry Potter and the Mage's Epoch? It doesn't matter if it's AU or not.

I've been reading the Temeraire series and was wondering if there were any good fic where Harry raises a dragon? None of that magical snake business though. An honest to goodness dragon.

 

Esama had some semi-weird stuff about that. Her stories are taken down, but there's an archive linked somewhere in DLP - I might have it in my pc, if the links are dead.

She claimed to write slash - including both(?) HP/Temeraire crossovers, but most of her stories never reached it (none of the ones I actually read), so I always believed that bit to be a PR maneuver to bring in more slash reading fans.

Are there any good fics featuring Grindelwald(Or however you say his name?)? I just read a story featuring him and HP in a prison digging out and procuring revenge, and I'm hooked.

I am looking for a good story where Dark Magic is prominent and done properly. Not just as something obscure/illegal/disliked by Molly Weasley. Something like The Price of Knowledge by BajaB, Whispers or Hallows and Pathos by Perspicacity

 

Okay, so I'm about to drive myself nuts.

I really, really want a good story where Harry has been raised by Sirius on the run. So far, I've run into Dumbledore Bashing, more Dumbledore Bashing, more Dumbledore Bashing, Harry screwing a prostitute and Sirius congratulating him on it (forget that Harry hadn't even really gone through puberty at that point), more Dumbledore Bashing ...

Does anyone know of something readable?

 

First book of the Wise One trilogy is pretty good.

Book 2 isn't bad and book 3 may or may not be atrocious.

EDIT: I read through it and it's decent enough. I didn't really care for how much time the author spent on the lives of Ron, Ginny, Neville, and so on and so forth, as I was mainly interested in Harry and Sirius's experiences. I was a bit disappointed about the all around lack of conflict. It's like the British just let Sirius walk away from Azkaban and 'killing Harry' the moment they thought he was out of Britain, which is utter shit, compared to the man hunt for Sirius in the books.

Good rec for the genre, though. It's the best of all the ones I've read so far.
