And I hate Cedric mostly because I ship Harry/Cho and have since her introduction in canon. His entire presence pretty much ruined any possibility that they would ever work as a couple. And he's a fucking Gary Stu anyway. People like him can just die. And in his case I'm most happy that he did.

And like I said, Cho can be around without being Harry's sex partner. I wouldn't see any reason for tension when there's no romantic involvement. Just do me a favor and don't pair her up with some other loser. Harry or nobody, PLEASE.

Isn't the pug comparison one made by an 11 year old Ron or Harry? I wouldn't put much stock in that, I mean, it could just mean she was frowning and looking like a little bitch. The girl who plays her in the movie is quite cute IMO... for a ~13 year old that is.

Ok, Chapter 4 is up. It's a somewhat transitional chapter from canon Harry to the Harry I want. So far, the OCness seems to be well recieved despite reservations from my beta. See how it is and tell me what you think. Thanks.

 

Not bad...I'm a bit disappointed to see Cho excluded. I don't think it would have made her OOC as you seem to think, since you never had any real obligation to make her act like some whiny cunt just because Rowling chose to in a later canon installment. I personally tend to flout the bloody canon wherever I see fit in my works and generally sneer broadly as I do so. Your call though...I suppose I'll keep reading for the present, but I have to admit that no Cho puts a rather large damper on my enthusiasm. Harry killing Davies and a few Death Eater brats would have been nice too, perhaps followed by kicking Dumbledore in the nuts and castrating Snivellus. :wink:

Now off my soapbox. Don't mind me too much, I'm just suddenly finding myself extremely bitter about how far my ship has sunk. Fuck, there are even more bad Cho/Cedric fics than Cho/Harry these days. Makes me want to fucking scream.

I suppose I'm going to have to do my own post-resurrection fic at some point. My Cedric hate needs to see a fic where Cho just jumps on Harry's prick without even caring much about the Golden Boy's death. :twisted:

Personally, I have no problem disregarding canon Cho especially as you pointed out this is book 4. But I have already too many alpha-grade females to write in and I'm conditioned enough by your and draco666's fics to not want to Cho as some second class, play toy ...like well Su Li in your story. (Actually I might need your permission to use your Su, just to be safe )

There is also the fact that of all the houses, I'll probably concentrate on Slytherin and possibly Hufflepuff, but not Ravenclaw, so Daphne and whoever else I find will take center place. I was kind of disappointed how fast Blaise and her gang got dropped in your story, but I guess with these things, you can't ever have everything. 8)

That was the best chapter so far. I'm always up for scheming and inteligent Harry.

As for Cho, i'm completely indiferent towards her (as I'm towards most of the ships, actually). I can read romance with her if it's written well, but I can also read Cho bashing. Doesn't really matter.

I found only one small error in this chapter.

He caught the Weasley (twins?) grinning at him from the Gryffindor table, making small but distinct bowing motions and chatting something along the lines of ‘iron balls’. Handing those galleons over to the jokester duo might yet prove to be a useful investment.

Harry still hasn't given them the Galleons, right? In canon, he gave them money on train, as a "in spur of the moment" kind of decision.

Well anyway, great chapter. I'm looking forward to see how you manage summer. I can already see Harry touring the clubs, picking up chicks & having a blast...
