I use a laptop connected via HDMI to a TV. By default when I hook it up it goes into duplication mode -- that is to say, I see the same image on both screens. What I'd like to do is set it on projection only, but I can't get it to work. I use F4 to go into the interface and click on projection only and it doesn't do anything. The other 3 options DO work.

I've Googled the shit out of this but can't find the same problem. People seem to have trouble getting the screen to turn on again, but I can't even turn it off in the first place.

    Any thoughts?

Have you tried right clicking on the desktop and going to Screen Resolution. Then setting it to 2nd display only?

You wizard you. I had tried doing something with that, but apparently I hadn't fiddled enough; there's other stuff there that ended up doing the trick.

    Thanks a lot! Problem solved.
