I am unreasonably irritated that they've announced the US air-date before the UK one, but it's nice to know a rough date, I suppose (on the basis that series 2 was broadcast at the beginning of January, so taking into account a probably earlier airing over here, it's probably going to be about the same time).

 

Excuse me while I glower at my screen in jealousy over the UK getting it before the US.

Welcome to the feeling of being in the UK - currently being treated to, for instance, series 3 of Castle, and series never-going-to-happen of Breaking Bad and Community. We've only got Doctor Who and Sherlock, let us revel in it!

 

IdSayWhyNot: in Chile at least, you can watch Sherlock on Netflix.

 

If the PBS episodes are like the ones for series 2 then its not even worth it to watch. From what I remember they cut out several minutes for each episode.

 

Yes this, BBC eps are the full version for series 2 because they weren't cut for fucking ads

@Imp... What son? My copy of Reichenbach was put up as soon as it finished airing and is in glorious HD, those of us who sail the seven seas in search of priceless media have the great fortune of having most of it available to us in HD hours after it airs.

I would guess it will be about #SherlockLives group. And they will be a stand-in for all passionate fans, probably even discussion few most popular theories how Sherlock could survive his fall.

It took several re-watches, and someone pointing it out for me, to realize that the hobo looking guy talking to Lestrade is Anderson.

 

Well that was just generally awesome. Mary was perfect.

That was brilliant. Loved the various different theories, especially John's dream. They've clearly spent far too long reading the slash. But yeah, great start to the new year.

 

A very odd episode. Some part were awesome, some were not. Even editing was uneven with a very good Holmes and Watson working on their respective cases scene and a quite weird scene in the middle of the countdown. A solution to Sherlock's survival was fine, but I was expecting something with less people involved.

 

That won't be it; they said they'd filmed 6 theories so, expect another 2 during Sunday's episode, and I can't see them honestly revealing which one they chose.

They'll let us argue about it for eternity, I'd bet on it at any rate.

An interesting start and re-introduction, need to go back and re-watch certain scenes as I feel like I missed a lot. Wished I'd gone back and re-watched the end of season 2 so that'll be next.

Personally, I was rooting for the first theory they showed just because of the sheer craziness.
