Having seen the short film Escape From City 17 a number of times and thirsting for more info if a Part 2 will ever be released I came across another short film called What's In The Box.

Escape From City 17 is a Half-Life 2 short film made by The Purchase Brothers, who also made a rather epic Coca-Cola commercial. I'm a big Half-Life fan, I have been ever since the first game was released in 98 but Half-Life 2 just took it to a whole new level. The storyline is so good and the setting is just absolutely epic.

You can see where the inspiration comes from for What's In The Box. The use of Half-Life 2 sounds particulary, however the story is supposed to be original. There's an 8 minute interview with the creator of it here.

There's talent out there waiting to be found and backed by studios... I just hope guys like this stick with their ideas and ideals instead of going all Hollywood cash-cow...
