So, I recently decided to clean up my desktop, removed nearly all icons and used a launcher program to access all of my stuff. I haven't customized all the launcher options yet, and the F:NV icon is just there because I just installed it and can't be fucked to map it to a launcher button at the moment. The wallpaper is my favourite, which I've gone back to after a month of Game of Thrones stuff. How does it?

It's been nearly a year since I last posted in here, and since necroing doesn't seem to matter for this thread I thought I'd post my current desktop.

The bar at the left is Rocketdock with non-default icons, and it's usually hidden until I move my mouse over that area.

Bumping this thread, as I spent the last few hours messing with Omnimo, and I feel like sharing my desktop and I felt like asking if you all had any favorite desktop gadgets/etc.

inb4 someone says it is cluttered, I like to use my desktop constantly, if I want it clear and more aesthetically pleasing, I can just click my mouse and ta da!

I like mine sparse. Rocket dock on hide, and background switches between several pictures every 10 mins; this is one of my muses! <3

I went back to using Rainmeter. I think I got better at using it than before.

Here's the wallpaper, while I'm at it.

I am a fan of them slightly overlapping....I carefully chose which ones were on top of others based on the aesthetics though. I like the casual disarray look, I guess.

Another neat thing I've got running is Clover. Basically a wrapper for plain, ugly windows explorer with a chrome-like appearance. I'd love if it had a settings window and native theme support, but themes are coming next update, according to dev.

It does use your current windows theme, though.

If you're running windows 7 you can edit the boarder of the windows no problem, right? I don't think you needed a 3rd party to do that for you.

Its needlessly complicated, but you can. And you still have to use that method to change things like your navigation buttons (Forward, Back, search icon, refresh/stop, etc...). Theme Resource Changer is a godsend for people who don't want to have to edit and replace system files every time they want a new them, too. Window themes don't ruin it either when your system color/transparency might with other alternatives, from what I've experienced so far.

I was less concerned with that, than I was the fact that Clover gives you a nice looking tabbed explorer without needless junk included and that looks good while doing it.

The only other Tabs for windows that I saw and would consider using is WindowTabs. But I can't find a damn thing on the site about whats different between the personal/commercial versions, so fuck them.
