I don't know, but I'd like to see more.

    Let's get on it.

It seems like a consensus is there. Admins? Let's rebuild the S&P section! :D

Way to scare off new members, seeing half the members going around the "the Sick and Perverse" written after their name.

I started lurking here when the sick and perverse section was still up and I was always sorry to see it go. I vote yes to bring it back.

I can see it now: Swimdraconian, DA Member, Member of the sick and perverse.

It has an interesting ring to it...;)

We should just put S&P on your symbol. That would be it. Keep it Simple.

Eh, if they can't stomach a bit of DLP-thought-food, then I doubt most of us will want them here.

Also, who would send the invitations and how would you go about sending them. Requirements and all. Or will there be a thread for asking admission so as not to bother those who don't want to be a part of it?

I'd rather it not be invatation only, but meh.

Having a thread for asking admission would probably be the best thing to do. From there you can weed out who you don't want and whatnot.

Anyone who is scared off by that doesn't belong on DLP.

My two cents: It was a good section. But if we put it in it would have more control then before. At least in terms of the people who get to use it. I would like it to have posts by people who wouldn't post something retarded...like the raccoon( older members will know what it is). Its just my two cents, but I miss that section a lot.

To be honest, finding a Sick and Perverse section would've scared me off when I first joined... Now, between Gio and Chuck's artwork and Vash's colourful fictions (not to mention Cervus' poetry), I've been irreparably perverted.

That S&P section sounds like fun. I'm all for it... but yeah, give the newbies some time to step out of their pink and blue worlds and adapt to DLP's harsh reality... That's the reason why the precautions suggested by OneEyedMan (and supported by many others, Gio included :p) seem like a very good idea to me.

    Yep.

Special topic in Mature to apply.

And Jesus Christ, the RACOON! :shudders:

SlytherinDamien was retarded, and was rightfully banned after doing enough retarded shit like that.

I feel like leave images out, and all words are good.

Yeah I like the "no images" and no links to illegal stuff rule. Tinn, I did propose making S/P an Invitation Only area in a previous post in the thread.

I never said/suggested/hinted/thought you didn't want to make S&P a restricted area. I guess I once again failed at expressing myself clearly...

My first paragraph was me replying to your post. My second paragraph was me adding my Very Humble Opinion about the whole S&P topic, so as not to make a blatantly useless post.

(Which I just did with this reply  )

    Sorry about the ambiguity.

You could make it that someone allowed in has the power to invite others in and if someone screws up that person and the person who invited them gets banned from S&P.

Never heard of a limited admin, but it sounds interesting.

Nah man, this was a picture. Text is way, way different than a RL pic.

    Agreed.

If it would be possible, I'd like for images to be disabled in the section as well - seems like a reasonable precaution.

Beyond that, there should be none of the normal limitations: Double-posting (doesn't matter when the posts don't count, anyway), spelling, esc.

Do I ever miss the S&P days. It was my favorite place to go in the days of yore. However, how much of what you guys are suggesting is possible?

If so, instead the default should be read only. Just because someone is not allowed to post shouldn't mean they can't see it either and the people who don't want anything to do with it can avoid it like they use to. Just because you can view it does not mean you are compelled to do so.

Yeah, but the point of not seeing it was so as not to scare away the newbies.

Also, I'm rather intrigued by the mini mod/admin whatever idea. Though I would like it if the people invited to join by that person aren't also expelled from it when they are, just because Friend A was an ass doesn't mean Friend B will be.

If this is at all possible of course.

I like the idea of bringing it back. One of the main reasons that I have actually stuck with DLP for such a long time is because I would have so much fun posting in S&P. Some of the best discussions spawned from those depths.

    Oh, HELL YEAH.
I don't think I've laughed as hard at something so demented as what I found in S&P.
I remember it well, going through it, always feeling amused yet vaguely disgusted...
    Ah, old times.
