The Siege of Hogwarts or the Fall of Hogwarts is a pretty standard event in a lot fics. Usually though it's glossed over or poorly written. What I'm looking for is a fic that has a good Siege or Fall of Hogwarts. I'd even settle for an epic battle at Hogwarts.

 

Have you read The Prisoner's Cipher in the wba. It contain's the best Hogwart's battle I have read.

Also the second book of Joe's Heroe's trilogy contains a pretty epic battle in Hogwarts.

 

Dumbledore's Army and the Year of Darkness has a rather violent and bloody interpretation of the canon Battle of Hogwarts.

 

Under Siege is the only story I can re-call having an actual siege. Abandoned. I remember it appearing to have potential four years ago, but it obviously has not aged well.

 

The Sacrifices Arc has one full scale seige of Hogwarts in book 5, and various epic battles in and around the castle in different books. Standard warning: lots of slash, even more angst, can get a bit repetitive. Still fucking epic, imo.
