That and Ieuru's description of the tragic fall of the pinnacle of Vampire civilization seemed... a little weak.

Other than that nice chapter, keep up the good work.

 

I liked the latest chapter, Cervus took the time to develope his own thoughts on vampires instead of relying on the traditional cliches

 

Here's one idea, although you may have planned the story out already.

Don't make Ieuru the epitome of goodness and a mentor Harry can trust and go to always in the darkest of times. Right now, the story seems to be going that way. Save that role for Marques Torres.

Make Ieuru a complex character. Give him dark motivations and unknown wishes. He's so powerful, and it'll add a lot of interest to the story. Maybe he left out something very important about the history of the vampires.

Make him lie or not tell the whole story for why he trained Dumbledore. Perhaps he wants to manipulate the wizarding world. The secrecy oath that Harry swore could have been twisted to do more than keep secrets in his chambers.

Another option is that Harry discovers something very suspicious about Ieuru. Or Ieuru could refuse to teach Harry something for fear that Harry'll become more powerful than him. You could make it so that Ieuru didn't find out everything in Harry's mind; something blocked him.

What I'm thinking of Ieuru is for him to be a character Harry completely distrusts and who only watches out for his own goals. Harry will only go to Ieuru for help if he absolutely needs it. However, if Ieuru is in a dangerous position and Harry can save him without too much danger, he will.

An interesting scene would be to have Ieuru need Harry's help. But the cost for this is so high that Harry refuses, and Ieuru dies - while Harry never finds out his hidden aims and motives.

Sistat Inter Bitu pe Marvos and how it relates to this is interesting - especially since Ieuru knows exactly what it is, it relates to Harry, and it's vital in the story.

I liked it. I kind of get the feeling that I know who the mysterious 'he' from the vision was, but I don't know if Cervus wants us guessing at it here. Harry was a bit of a dumbass, but he spent an entire year with only one other person. That doesn't exactly grant a person great people skills.

He made a remark in an Intro thread not too long ago, and then Sree saying he was dead to him, and then I guess that Cervus requested a ban.

 

I was also wondering, why Cervus is suddenly banned.

I kinda doubt that the "requested" to be banned. I didn't see any post of him that would qualify for a ban, though. Strange... :/

 

I kinda meant heard anything about the fic. But that explains why he hasnt been here in a while.

 

Cervus didn't request anything, but I think he was banned as a consequence of the whole "recruiting from DLP's memberbase" muddle.

As for his fics, last time I talked to him he said they weren't abandoned. He's just busy at the moment.

 

Seems like I missed some great drama then. I have no idea what the "recruiting muddle" was/is about.
