    Title: Slytherin Style! series
    Author: SlythsRule
    Genre: General/Action/Adventure
    Rating: T
    Status: WIP, slow updates
    Pairings: going towards Harry/Blaise & Draco/Ginny
Summary: This is my version of what would have happened if the hat said Slytherin in the first book. Suck at summaries but read anyway! and please review!

Philosophers Stone: Slytherin Style! - COMPLETED (40,000 words)

Chamber of Secrets Slytherin Style! - WIP

One of the best Slytherin!Harry stories I've read so far.

The best thing here is the balanced way the Slytherin house and Slytherins in general are portrayed - they are not a bunch of evil, Voldemort-worshiping jerks, but they're also a far cry from whores with golden hearts... The author succedeed in making the Slytherin house seem like a fun place to be in, while still keeping dark and cold air about it.

Downside is unbalanced characterisation. Harry is one moment cold, calculating and smart and the next one, impulsive and lazy. Blaise is even worse - she seems like a weird mix between Tonks and Millicent Bullstrode, with a dash of Hagrid thrown in for good measure... Very unsteady character development in general.

But still, Slytherin Style! remains a very good Slytherin!Harry story, especially the first book. Too bad it isn't updated more regulary...

    My favorite story! MUST READ.
Great thing writer did, Harry isn't stupid and knowledgeless, but neither is he an almighty god.

I like what I've seen so far. I'm hoping the author wants to do Harry/Blaise, but it doesn't necessarily seem to be going that way. This one is on my Ginny Alert list, which means I'm abandoning it the moment they get together, which is sadly what might possibly happen. Honestly, I would rather the ugly little bint got placed in Gryffindor and left away from the spotlight period, but we can't always have our way on everything I suppose.

The author notes say Harry/Blaise & Draco/Ginny (not before 4th or 5th year), but "she is open to suggestions" (probably meaning "fishing for reviews").

That would be exactly what it means. The easiest way for an author to get millions of reviews is to solicit input regarding romance pairings. I know from accidental experience.

I love it, the Companion snake & Harry has been one of the plot bunnies sieging my mind since I saw CoS, glad someones done it tastefully.
    ( Bolds are edits )

First Cliche found - More then average powered Parsletounge spells, and Parsle language. Not a horrible one, just a small annoyance - at most.

Finished the 1rst, on CoS, Why the hell doesn't he curse the Weasleys ?

I liked both of these, the Slytherin's as a whole are done really well. I enjoy the fact that the mudblood is pretty much out of the picture as well as minimal contact with the old man but still able to see the manipulations! intellagent! Harry is always a good read!

Very cliched. Then I suppose this is from 2005 and it's er... 2010 now. Maybe a lot of people have copied the story but it just didn't read well for me.

Alright, I'm probably too new to say this, but stop randomly necroing with nothing to contribute. 3 out of your 4 posts are Necros, and I'm very tempted to call troll on this shit.

Post an intro, or start meaningfully contributing.

Troll means on purpose, in this case, if something wrong had been done, she would just be either retarded or uninformed. I fucking hate it when people call troll at stupid shit, its like you guys don't know what it means. (I know you didn't actually say troll, but the thought is there, doing something repeatedly doesn't mean malicious intent, it just means lack of knowledge of the rules)

Also, grats on saying pretty much the same shit the other guys did, beat that dead horse!

Not to mention, this is a neglected story, they need to be rerated, and honestly? She stated everything that seems appropriate and gave it a new rating, one more based on our current standards. Im actually much inclined to agree with what she said, and think that it should probably be taken out of the library.

1/5 from me. Passable in the day, perhaps, but nowhere near readable by our current standards. Cliched, inconsistent characterization, just needs to be gone in general.

Let's get this crap out of the Library. I honestly can't believe this was good back in the day. 1/5.
