Yeah, we all actually hate the song, but that's why we're making a parody of it. Ginny did the first video (Check her youtube channel) to Rebecca Black's Friday, and EVERYONE hates that song :-D


Really awesome feedback here, thanks everyone. All the crticisms are legit and presented constructively. :-] I posted this on a few potter forums, and oddly enough this forum, consisting of "dark wizards," is the most respectful.


@Grinning Lizard - Basically everything. Shooting, editing, vfx... The girls did the song, lyrics and audio work.
It was a ton of work, but a lot of fun. I love being creative. The shoot with the snake was really fun, even though we only used a couple shots.

What video camera did you guys use to film out of curiosity, Gnaga?

 

Hacked panasonic GH1 @45mbs, Canon 50mm prime lens.

 

Been staring at this for about 3 minutes... it's still amusing.

 

Video production: Good, some tiny moments of poor editing, some really good CGI animations, some cliche After Effects filters.

Sound Production: Horrible. Terrible editing. The Stuttering is incredibly obviously done through poor editing, very uneven. Horrible vocal mics were used in an untreated room, you can hear it very clearly.

Song choice. Terrible. Using rubbish pop songs keeps the 'parody' just as rubbish. It's not hard to find a decent song to cover which actually has a melody. Sounds like karaoke with the wrong lyrics.

Potential, ruined by what seems like typical fangirlism. Only redeeming quality is that they are mildly attractive and the lulzy Dobby kick.
