Wrath of the Half blood prince annoyed me in so many ways. I thought there'd be far more Snape centric fics along the vein of The apprentice than there seem to be. I am dissapoint.

As someone else said already, this story is horrible. Great concept ruined by cliches and the like.

The idea of Snape (or another Professor) going back in time to actually prepare Harry for Voldemort, etc., has so much potential that it blows my mind. Fits all kinds of niches, too. Mentored!Harry, Smart!Harry, Skilled!Harry, Time Travel, AU, and so on.

I'd love to see this done right.

Okay, I decided to read To Shape and Change. And then, in paragraph seven, I read this:
I am hesitant to continue reading. I thought that magical cores were precisely the sort of thing that sent Taure into TL;DR rants.

EDIT: Yeah, I continued reading and had to quit about half-way. I see what people mean by chalk-full of clichés.

I'm thoroughly enjoying To Shape and Chance. Its not an amazing work of fiction, and its certainly never going to win any prizes, but its ok. In a fanfiction landscape with a severe dearth of even 'ok' fics, I'll read and enjoy things which are merely ok.

I guess I'll give it another chance, then.
