If someone who is new to the forum makes a comment that is thoughtless/ill-thought-out/stupid etc, then immediately it seems that at least someone will jump on them and accuse them of being Tridentwatch.

Yes ok, Trident was an annoying bitch, but is it really necessary to accuse all and sundry among the new members of being him, just cause they make a comment and stick by it?

Well, chances are that, when someone posts an idiotic first post, the following posts are not going to be much better. Better act preemptively

 

That's a normal social behaviour for any comunity - from time to time sacrifice one member to reafirm the group's structure and boost up loyalty of all the other members (eg. witch burning). Psychology 101.

 

It's our opinion.. and therefor pretty much law, that if the newbies can't take a bit of ritual hazing when they join the site, after making a retarded post, then they aren't the sort of person we want here being an emo lil bitch in the first place.

We agreed awhile back we'd gotten too soft on some of the users, letting rampant whiny crap/backtalk/retarded posts happen far too often. That's why we don't just on certain users for hazing, it's a test of sorts.

If they can't handle being made fun of for a few days until they make some posts worthy of an IQ level above a dung beetle, then *shrug*

All's fair in posting and bashing when it comes to stupid people.
If they come to a dark site.. and expect to be coddled, they should be castrated.

Regardless of them being trident or not, I have one law when it comes to this kind of thing. If you can't laugh and make fun of yourself, you dont have the right to mock anyone else. And if any of you lot came to the IRC room, youd see how much I make fun of myself.

Repeating what Middy has already said, its just a hazing. If you cant take the beating, well then you dont need to be here. Its a way of weeding out emos, bitches, losers, and children.

Seriously now, I think that people in DLP, especially those who were already members when this Trident person was banned, and created two more accounts and banned again, made the members to follow Moody’s motto.
It is simply paranoia, and we can’t exactly blame them; after all, experiencing Trident, Cup-something and the other was not actually appealing.
