Okay so I moved onwards from the previous song I listed, and I'm listening to Cartoon's On and On. It makes me feel as if what I want is close by.

Maybe influenced by the fact that I listened to this song whilst finishing compiling my study?

Fight Song - By Rachel Platten

This is my 'song of the moment'. The lyrics are excellent and the tune stays in the memory.

It is a song that I am ready to listen to at any time. Whenever I listen to it, I end up feeling better than I was before. It gives hope and the determination to fight to win.

It reminds me of all the times in my life when it felt like there was an immovable obstacle before me and I had to struggle very hard to overcome it. The song reminds me of the satisfaction I felt once I had reached my goals.

For me, it's My Church by Maren Morris.

First, because it's just a really good song. Maren Morris is one of a handful of country artists putting out genuinely good music right now to combat that godawful bro country.

Second, because this has been a pretty big year for me. Graduated law school, passed the bar, entered a fairly serious relationship. The first time I heard this song, I was cruising the countryside with my then-new girlfriend. It just fit so perfectly. Lovely song, lovely memories. I know it'll bring me back years down the line.

    Woodkid - Iron

This song is amazing. The start, the rhythm, the voice - it's the complete package for me. I can also recommend other songs from Woodkid like Wasteland and The Golden Age.

Might sound corny but I had an incredible experience with this. I was standing outside under a ribbed roof, smoking and drinking coffee, and it rained a lot but the trees still had red and yellow leaves so it looked really beautiful. There were two birds chasing each other, and I remember feeling this was a perfect moment, and thinking that the rain hitting the puddles looked like nature's drumroll.

Totally worth it to smoke outside even in "bad" weather.

Just finished listening to Jon Bellion's entire "The Human Condition" album. And holy shit was it amazing. Every song, and I do mean every song, is a goddamn masterwork fusion of hiphop and feel-good pop. And each one sounds totally different.

All time low (the radio hit), 80s Films, and Hand of God are my personal highlights.

Currently listening to Julia Michaels' Issues. She's freaking awesome - at 22 (I think) up till now she's primarily been a songwriter, and has collaborated with every one from Zedd to Demi Lovato to Ed Sheeran (on Dive) to Britney Spears (much of Glory) to Kygo to Selena Gomez (much of Revival) to Justin Bieber so her chops are very much in demand right now. She's mostly been too shy to try her hand at singing her own stuff, but she wrote Issues, and she knew it was the one song she didn't want anyone else to have, and rightly so she fought off the interest and kept it, and this is the result. I'm excited to hear more from her.

Touch it from Ariana Grande's Dangerous Woman is her best song for me, and one of my favorite songs to listen to (fewer songs drive me as spastic) - it's just EDM goodness set to her gorgeous voice and I'm surprised it's not a single - it's catchy as hell. Yesterday I heard this extended version Touch It (Reloaded), and boy does it do things to me. I can't get enough. That intro just slays me.

I happily stumbled onto Timeflies, and I've been jamming to Gravity and Guilty.

Everything about Kendrick Lamar's new album is amazing. Especially with the theory of a second album dropping on Easter.
