I love it, but the elements I love about it [the swagger and violence] is done better here.

    Season 4 ended tonight.
What a tame finale... Granted, they found a believable way to continue both club's and Clay's existence, but for a season finale, this one seriously lacked action.

I think tame is putting it lightly. The show pretty much took the easiest possible way out with the resolutions to each and every plot point the season built up. Seriously disappointing.

I think there's going to be a lot more of that with Jax in charge. Most of the violence and drama moments was because of the leadership in SoA. I don't think the same shit would have gone down if Jax was leading and Tig wasn't Sgt at Arms. You bet your ass if Clay got put into the same situation, he would have ignored the CIA threat and caused a shit load of problems. I'm actually kind of hoping it gets toned down a little. The last four seasons were leading up to Jax being in charge and bringing a change to SoA. If the same shit keeps happening with Jax there, it'll feel like nothing has changed.

Clay is still there and alive, so I expect at least a little bit of bat shit crazy. If Clay got killed this week, the show would be without that for the future.

This. Jax is going to be a much calmer leader than Clay is. He won't be as prone to immediately go knock some heads, but when it does happen you can bet it will go as smoothly as possible. I just wonder where they will go from with the next season. A large time skip won't be as feasible because we have to see how he handles the Irish not wanting to work with him.

I'm going to disagree on the tame thing. It didn't have to be all bullets and explosions to be tense and dramatic and the tension in this episode was palpable.

I didn't mind the lack of tension. I actually thought the level of respect Jax commanded while being so soft spoken was quite impressive.

Can we remove spoiler tags now? I think everybody posting the thread now will be aware of potential spoilers. I hate highlighting to read. In anycase- Spoilers.

I'm betting next season we see the continued cartel shit along with the new law enforcement issue. But the real trigger issue is going to be the immediate repercussions of Tig wasting the 9ers main girl, who's daddy is apparently going to be an even bigger problem for the club.

I'm just second the opinion that the finale was outstanding. I'm a huge fan of the violence, but this show handles the character interactions and so on incredibly well, especially with Jax, that these slow episodes are just as great as the ones that are filled with violence.

Just watched the entire show, and it is fucking awesome.

Apparently the creator worked on The Shield and it shows beyond the cast making cameos. There's a general sense of... gravitas to actions, things have far-reaching consequences, and they don't just disappear, it's something I love about the show. It may not be as hyper-serialised as The Shield but it's still there.

The most annoying part was Jax and Tara. Their on and off thing is fucking annoying. I get that it's done to show that Jax is not just some criminal sociopath, that he cares and is aware of his life and what comes with it, but they invalidate that every fucking time that he gets back together with her, except it's worse because he knows what he's doing. Same thing with his kid, they wanted to have it both ways there and ended up worse than if they had just cut out one choice.

This last season was good even without the magnificent evil bitch that was Stahl., tbh she was the best part of the show at times It was very fucking tense, and I'm glad that Jax is reaping what he fucking sowed. He and Clay ran SAMCRO into a wall so they could pick apart the wreckage and get out of Dodge and now they have to live with it They were probably fucked anyway but it's nice karma that they get theirs.

As for Clay, I really wonder how it'll play, I don't think that he'll just sit back and accept this, if he thinks he can get all the people who know about whathisface Teller, he'll do it. Next season is going to be tense.

Yeah Jax is definitely paying for his decisions but its hard to really blame him. His entire life SAMCRO was all he had, but now he has a family and has found out that his father didn't want this life for him. He wanted out and tried his best to get out without destorying everything. Now without him it all goes to shit.

~Xiph0: If the next episode doesn't end with that guard watching Jax rip the fingernails off his kid

Holy shit, that was some tough shit.

I really thought that it would be Tigs doing what Opie did. I thought he would want to die instead of spend time being buttraped by Pope's goons.

Christ Gemma is a fucking idiot, falling for Clay's shit like that. Fuck Gemma. Her bullshit manipulations need to end. I can't wait for Jax to find out about her part in the murder.

I like where Jax is going. The anger and whatnot.

I wasn't sure how I'd feel with Jax sitting at the head of the table calling the shots but they've done it well.
