I am sorry about this I came back and saw what I had written and immediately thought I am a moron. I will now give a proper summary of the fic I am interested in.
- Harry is only around 10/11 years old
- Harry is independant and I believe that it might be manipulative Dumbledore
- Harry gets four elf slaves, one of whom is a dark elf (drow), in chapter nine I believe.
- Harry pays the shopkeeper to look after his slaves better with a warning that he would check on him from time to time.
- Harry goes to Hogwarts.
- Story was released around the middle of the year.
That's all I can remember, sorry about asking but this has been driving me insane for the last week or so and I have repeatedly gone to FanFiction to try and find it but with no luck so far. Thanks.

That's the one I am looking for, I think, and I know it's not the greatest story out there but it's kinda like when you have a song lodged in your head and you can't get rid of it and you end up humming it or rather in this case screaming at your laptop because you can't remember the name or author.

 

You sure it's not a horrid HP/Naruto crossover crapfic? It sure sounds like this story.

Indy!Harry (complete with Shopping Trip!), elves, 11 year old badass Harry, buys a magic book and gives himself a doujutsu, Elves, Ninja arts are way better than magic, ELVEN FUCKTOY SLAVES. Harry vacations in Kohona and becomes Naruto's big brother and the baddest ninja in the land.

If you're looking for the story to do anything but mock it, I fear for you.

[Edit: I know what you mean though about stories you read and can't recall, then finding that they are really quite awful. I spent months trying to remember the story Sins of the Father, which I'd read early in my exposure to fanfiction, only to be woefully disappointed and embarrassed after a second reading.]

Sorry Perspicacity I just had a quick glance at the story you posted and that's not it, and besides Harry's ten or eleven I doubt he would be screwing his slaves just yet. Although I believe one of them tried to he rejected her. Anyway I've come across some of this author's other work and it's all pretty much cringe worthy.
