I agree, I always thought his priorities were fucked. Personally I'd be sneaking in the restricted section nightly from the moment I had the cloak instead of playing some Quidditch. Then again, I personally would have played keep-away with Nevilles rememberall with Draco rather than do the nutty shit that got him on the team to begin with.

It makes an amusing video game though... if only EA went all out to make it more in your face and gritty it could be one of the coolest team sports games ever. But, well... you know EA...

 

Yeah i got that for my kids and me to play together and we were very, very underwhelmed. Another couple months of work, and better multiplayer support, along with online play and it could of been a fun distraction.

I would of probably played on the team, but once it got to 3rd year, I'd of went over board with spell learning

 

I probably would have played simply for a while for the chicks, but ultimately realized that true power in his world is derived from two things normal knowledge like we think of it (i.e. who you know, facts you know, languages, skills developed) and Magical abilities/power

Harry's priorities are completely out of whack. It seems like he makes a conscience decision to avoid pushing himself intellectually even a LITTLE bit unless someone's life is on the line (PHilosopher's stone, CHamber of Secrets), Dumbledore tells him he should (Slughorn), or he has to because of fear (Patronus, Triwizard Tournament).


If Harry was smart, for example, he would have told professor's about the Basilisk and Dumbledore could have gone down with a rooster and killed the Fucker. I had a story where Harry kills the basilisk WITHOUT Fawkes's help, and uses a rooster instead to kill it. I mean, its a fucking CHICKEN!!! Dumbledore should have put it all together when Hagrid mentioned his chickens were all dead (and by the way EVERYONE manages to "not look the monster in the eye"?! BULLSHIT!)

Sorry I've gotten off course. But anyway, Harry isn't that strong because of Quidditch. The only real benefit is that he can now "pleasure himself" better because of his strong grip. ;-)

IT really pisses me off how little Harry has done with the tools he has been given.

 

Why did no one but Herman ever find out about this whole thing in the books it's Herman knows anything, is this guy the only one who has a brain.

yeah I love that, and then it's usually in like the 3rd chapter of a 15 chapter story, showing they spammed that before even reaching the end, lol.

Then you click on their name, and see they have stories that haven't been updated in months+

I delete extreme posts that go way overboard (the fact that I've left the some of the more objectional posts that are still here sort of proves how fair I am about it) , multiple posts, spam posts of one word over and over that would better be handled in IRC if I've already warned the posters beforehand, move topics if they're in the wrong cat, off topics don't get touched unless it turns into a ton of off topics, then I split them into their own thread, etc. I think I'm the most active when it comes to moving/pruning/locking/anything, but I didn't touch anything in Games, and I can't recall pruning anything off this thread so far.

 

I'm pretty sure it was in this thread. I was half asleep when I posted, so I might just have not hit the button or whatever. I'm almost positive I did post something to the effect here, though. Meh, it's no big deal. I was just venting my displeasure with the idea of having one of my posts modded for no reason. Regardless of what happened, I'll just consider the matter dropped.

I once left a post to deliberately upset a Harry/Ginny pair. What I did was I wrote how bad it was, then I rearranged some letters in the words, or deleted them. Took 30 seconds, but I hope she spent a while decoding it. It probably had no effect ultimately and she most likely discarded it immediately. Oh well, did my part anyway.

I have a super Harry, despite him only doing one thing impressive, and that was all the sword's doing, fueling off his emotions. Sirius' soul combined with his I haven't explained at all for a reason, he's keeping it quiet until he can figure out what's going on by speaking to Voldemort. Lupin asks him about it, and you get a brief bit about it.

I've not made changes in the plot as I write, other then to revise everything to make larger chapters and reproofread.


And I love ones that bitch and moan then say they won't check back, they always do, rofl.
