HKT please get tiebreaker with EDG, please. That BKT vs EDG game was such bullshit from EDG, considering their status as one of the favourites, I want to see them fall.

You may call it boring, but it's the most likely scenario right now. None of the other teams can compete with SKT, and EDG bounced back from their tough losses to LGD and then iG in the Summer Season.

And I doubt either one of them will make it out of groups.

 

Dude lol, EDG looked like shit in every early game, but holy fuck when everyone got two items.

Holy fuck when Deft flashed the wolf wall and then burned bork to kite out of annie tibbers and then literally hit a 4 man jinx ult + rocket which chunko'd the whole h2k team for 70% of their hp.

Holy. Fucking. Shit.

Just little things makes me think Deft is the greatest Jinx of all time probably. Knowing that he has the exact amount of attack speed with Blade to throw chompers and take out a pink ward with stacks of minigun passive applied to rockets from the baron lip.

His zap accuracy - able to eagle eye snipe a certain player to maintain vision on them in teamfights, his chase pathing in which he clicks a different spot faster than the eye can see so he could move in patterns that make skillshots nearly impossible to hit on him...

It's little shit like that which makes me love Deft's Jinx. Seriously I think he should leave Kalista to players like Imp and Bang. Like, his understanding of how to play immobile damage carries like Kog and Jinx is just... so, so good.

 

Don't forget his Sivir

 

Literally flashes offensively into 4 people with half-health sivir, gets pentakill with his team halfway up the river. 10/10

I'm kinda surprised LGD was able to beat og, didn't watch that one, looks like I'm gonna have to.

No last game Singed. I think Riot instituted a tryhard rule after Regi's Teemo and Team Dark's 8 minute game in OGN.

Past two days haven't felt like they're worth watching.

Hopefully tomorrow is better, as I am a serious C9 fanboy and hope they do well. The other teams are going to have some time to shine as well.

C9 has to lose at minimum 4 consecutive games not to make it into the quarterfinals, but I'm hoping for some more World Domination.

 

... You realise they only have 3 more games to play, right?

I'm not sure it's Riot or if the teams have just gotten boring. There's been no Baylife left in TSM for a while now.

I missed the games. Can someone give me a tl;dr? Should I watch any game in particular?

 

TSM were TSM, went 0-3. KT went full korean, 3-0. Origen beat TSM, lost other two, 1-2. LGD were less shit, went 2-1.

Group finishes KT>OG>LGD>TSM.

 

If C9 go 0-3, another team goes 3-0, and then some other team at 2-1, C9 will still be tied at 3-3 with the other team. At which point there'd be a head to head tie breaker. If they lose, they don't go into the knockout stage. So 0-4. Alternately, everyone could end up 3-3 after tomorrow's games, which gives more tiebreakers.

 

I think the Origen games were fairly good? Especially the one against KT, but I might be wrong. TSM showed more spirit then usual.

Looking forward to C9 and Fnatic tomorrow. Kinda funny how Origen went 4-0, qualified, then promtly lost the next 2.

I think OG's hugely confidence based. When they play with a lead, they start snowballing out of control, especially with tp comps. But then when they go slightly worse than even, they make a big play that either works like a charm or fails miserably and then they either get pumped up or tilted based on that.

If they get tilted, then they go into this death spiral of overcommitment. I can only imagine that the comms go something like "okay I have X, I'm strong now," and they fight/skirmish, without really thinking about whether or not the other team's hit a bigger spike than them. Then they lame it out until their next spike, and do it again. Sometimes it works, but sometimes they get rekt because the other team is too far ahead or just plays it better/have stronger spikes.

 

I think that's how they played the regular season, but they've held on pretty well in the group stages, even when behind.

Anyway, I'd much rather teams still tried something when behind, even if it failed spectaculary. Like that one CLG game were they picked Blitz and kept roaming with him even when terribly far behind. It only worked once, but what are they going to do, stop?
