I never played TOR, so I wouldn't know that it was invented there.

I know Meetra's name from these books I own:

    Deceived and Revan, of course.

I pulled it up for you and generated one female name:

    Xylas Merasska

My problem isn't with the name itself, but the butchering of the Exile's character for Bioware's MMO.

But also, you miss out on the Handmaiden as a party member if you go with a female Exile.

So everyone sane went with Jedi Jesus because of that.

    Well, that and Visas Marr.

It is good that you have never wondered what lay beneath her robes, if her alabaster skin was as white and unblemished as her face. Or if perhaps she bore the scars of slavery... and if that would stir you more. Perhaps her deferent tone would change once you held her by the throat, and showed her how far a Jedi can fall.

Have you ever played KOTOR 2 with the restored content mod?

If not, you're doing yourself a disservice and need to do so as soon as possible. Only then will you understand how much Bioware has mangled the lore that the second KOTOR game has built up.

I played the entire game without the restored content mod.

When I recently installed the restored content mod, I found that it removes some sound files from dialogues and then fast-forwards through the text making it very hard to follow. I got to Telos and then quit playing because it was annoying to me.

It does that even on vanilla game. Or it did so for me before I even heard of TSLRCM.

You just quit the game, reload to your latest save and have a go at it again.

Hence why quick-saving is a must-do when playing KOTOR 2.

Holy fuck, you missed out on so much.

Lol, well, never mind then. Though If I remember right the name I use for the Exile, "Jeniri Stark," either came from that random generator or another one online. Or maybe I combined sources, I don't remember.

Male Exile may get the Handmaiden, but I don't mind the Disciple much. There's a mod that improves his baby face. There's also a mod that gives you Brianna anyway, but I never actually tried it (it might've conflicted with the TSLRCM?).

I'm still incredibly disappointed they removed KotOR from Star Wars canon. Sure, the ability and such should have been removed, but the actual story should not have been.

    Title: The Tatooine Cycle
    Author: Tom O'Donnell
    Rating: T.
    Genre: Alternate Universe
    Status: One-Shot
    Fandom: Star Wars
    Pairings: None.
Summary: A retelling of Star Wars Episode IV as a medieval Irish epic.
    Link: https://headofdonnbo.wordpress.com/2015/12/10/the-tatooine-cycle/

This is more of an entertaining curiosity than anything else. What I like about it is that the author obviously knows their stuff when it comes to old Irish tales, and has done a very good job of transforming the Star Wars story we all know into one of them. It's really worth checking out, especially since it isn't long.

5/5 It is fun and well written and exciting.

In addition to it being a faithful retelling of star wars, it also does an excellent job with the battles.

Is there still no decent Force Awakens fanfiction out there? Did every quality writer decide to write shitty romance fics instead or something?

Are you trying to say that probable Skywalker first cousin incest or bizarre polyamory isn't the height all fiction should aspire to? Maybe this is the wrong board for you.

More seriously I thought this story was pretty solid with some caveats. It has Anakin Solo transported to the Force Awakens universe from the Mykr mission. The Ways They Still Haunt Us

For the general pool of Star Wars fanfiction, frodogenic is writing again.

I just read the Ways They Still Haunt Us, based on your recommendation. I enjoyed it thoroughly, even if the series is not finished yet. It does a nice job of bridging the gap between universes. And the references to the old stories hit all my memory buttons. Good stuff man. Thanks for the rec.

Pretty good, but doesn't have the staying power that an anthology should 3/5. Enjoyable, but after the first few, you can see the pattern coming.

I finally just got around to reading Black Mirror, and it's a good chance it's my favorite SW fic ever written. The interaction between the various characters and Vader is incredibly well-done, and it feels like it could fit into any of the episodes/movies that the respective characters come from. Easy 5/5 for me.

I couldn't get through the first chapter of Double Agent Vader.

I just can't associate Vader with childish bantering and jokes of this kind.
