But we get a intro cinematic which is just visual sex :awesome

 

They've already said no release date at E3. That being said, they could drop whatever they want on the game, and I wouldnt care.

I love the cinematics, they're amazing, but I'm really worried about the game itself. The more I see the more I lose confidence in it. I just hope my fears turn out to be unfounded.

 

One of the people in my house is in the Beta (and this is her second invite, bitch). Before that happened I was starting to feel the same. But everything I've seen so far has been grand. They've got a couple UI design things to work out I think but other than that it's wonderful.

What're you afraid will happen?

The intro is little more than CGI with fancy lightsaber attacks. Sure, it looks great, but the only interesting thing in the intro was the guy with the cool hat, and the chick who was told to "Walk a different path".

I dunno, I was just slightly underwhelmed. :/

 

Everything I've seen just screams WoW in space. It just doesn't look particularly interesting. The gameplay videos just seem...boring. I think Guild Wars 2 will be my MMO of choice over this, but I will still keep an eye on it.

 

So they have finally released pre-order information.

And I'm pretty pissed that the whole south pacific was left off the list. Do they think we don't play games or some shit?

 

I feel your pain, just read through the list of countries that have the pre-order available in, saw we were left out, and all but screamed out 'Mother Fucker!!' Still getting the game when it comes out, but this has me royally pissed off.

It looks pretty good actually. I'm not going to buy it until I know it's worth it but so far its shaping up to be the next big MMO. My only complaint is those lines in the trailer were extremely cliche. Made me feel like a fanboy.

All kidding aside, it looks great. Depending on my budget next year and the reviews, this may be the game that gets me to switch from free MMOs to subscription.

 

I dunno. Every single MMO since the release of WoW has been touted to be the next best MMO, but nothing still comes close. Everything i've seen and heard of SW:TOR has been good in presentation, but I remain completely unconvinced with the game play.

How are they going to put a proper storyline in an MMO? How are they going to create longevity? All I've really seen so far is a lot of talk, flashy cutscenes but no real basis for all the hype.

However, all of these opinions are little more than conjecture until the game is actually released and a first hand impression is possible.
