Muta/Ling is actually a really bad idea - purely because Tanks which means Factory+TechLab which means Thors which absolutely decimate Mutas. They'll make a single Thor when they scan your Spire, then you're fucked.

The reason the Banshee variant is so powerful, is because the amount of early pressure is so high that it delays your Lair significantly. I'm gonna play around with a ~4 Queen opening, since minerals are a bit less tight than gas [read: 500minerals, 0gas - more speedlings or queens].

I guess. I went 3-2 on my placements, so I honestly think I'd be better placed in Gold than Plat.

 

Diamond bitches . Went 5-0 in placements and got ranked up with some famous guys like Kiwikaki and Slush. I feel like such a beast, but I know that I'm gonna get knocked down pretty quickly. Oh well. Regarding the friend request fiasco, we're just gonna have to PM eachother or something.

edit: Apparently if we somehow finagle it so we're in the same game or lobby, we can friend eachother by right clicking on our names and adding eachother there.

edit the 2nd: If anyone is online at the moment, join a custom game on Novice Decena where the speed is "slower". We can add eachother in there.

That's probably the entire reason they removed the ability to add people to your list by SC2 name. Less confusion that way or something.

 

Do they still have the friends of friends feature? That would be one easy way to add each other...just nominate someone to add everyone first, heh.

Dude, the lag is almost unplayable. Solomon and I just did a 3v3 and the other guy on our team lagged the whole time, then we all got DC'd. We can try and set up a 4v4 though. What we need is someone to send their real id's to one guy, and then he can just invite them all to one game and we can do mass friend adds.

Yes. One of the changes in the patch notes was a switch to UDP, if I remember correctly.

 

Lovely, I think I remember reading that... only it was supposed to improve matters not make them god awful.
