I came. I saw. I came. I honestly wasn't sure if I was going to buy the game until a few days ago, and this just cements that in my mind. I'd be buying the game just for the cutscenes if torrents didn't exist, but the custom games and multiplayer make it worth the purchase in my mind.

 

I'm INSTALLING IT NOW

 

I bought the game with a Dell deal that lowered the price to $44.99 plus free shipping. I also tagged on a 10% bing cash back, but I'm going to be getting the game around three days to a week after the release date. Whatever.

I saved more than 15 dollars. I'm happy.

 

Midnight release party tonight.

Going to get my Collector's Edition and be happy. Been waiting something like 11 years for this game.

 

I hate you so much right now. I couldn't be more jealous.

 

I'm going to pick up my CE at midnight and probably not play it in favor of perusing the artbook and soundtrack.

 

I'm getting mine in a week: it'll take three or four days to get to me via the post. On the bright side, no postage/packaging cost.

Aside from the singleplayer looking damn sexy, I'm mainly interested in the modding tools. I've already got the plan for a map written up which drastically expands the normal gameplay, and I can't wait to get started.

 

I'm mostly interested in how the story will go. Starcraft was the first huge story I'd ever read/experienced, and I can't wait to see it continue.

I'm really looking forward to how the Use Map Settings community takes care of all the new tools available. I really only play UMS online, because the different ways we can change the game and play with it are incredibly fun. I expect to see an EVOLVES map as soon as possible.

 

There are Beta videos of Evolves-SC2 on YouTube already: I came across them when I was looking at editor examples. (There are some amazing FPS maps on there already).

Well, alot of the SC2 modification playerbase came directly from Warcraft III's, and they themselves learnt from the custom maps created on the original Starcraft: we can expect some great things to come, methinks, with a modding community like that backing the game/editor.

I've heard from a friend that the storyline videos were leaked onto YouTube, so if there's any grain of salt to this, becareful when searching the site, lest you want spoilers.

 

Yes, there were already a plethora of UMS games during the beta. Evolves is one of the pretty damn simple ones.

Yes one of the last cinematic scenes were leaked. And to the people who are getting the Collector's Edition, I suggest you play the campaign first. I heard that some of the stuff in it have some spoilers.

 

Went into a store near Uni during my break, walked in.

"I'd like to buy StarCraft 2"

"Do you want the normal or collectors edition?; we have one left."

I walked out with my collectors edition. I consider myself pretty lucky. Also unlucky in the fact that my gaming PC is screwed and I'm going to need a new PSU.

God, I've been waiting so long. And the Collector's Edition is fucking awesome. The Box itself is awesome. LOVE.

 

I'm so fucking jealous right now...60 bucks for the normal version, 100 for the Collector's...

The CE is so worth it. That artbook it comes with is fucking HUGE. Also free SC1.

Also, I placed a little while ago. 4-1 equals Gold. Not bad!
