I think that this is something worth reading as well. Just in general terms of why NASL has been so much of a failure compared to MLG.

 

Make sure to read post #3 it was by the person who just lost to Sen. And I take it most of you don't hang around on TL regularly.

A lot of the previews that the TL staff writes for the various tournaments are really well done.

GSL finals are on. Game 1 just finished and holy fucking shit. That was probably the best TvZ I've ever seen. 40 minutes, damn near perfect play from both players.

This is going to be the series that breaks the GSL curse. We are going to have a kickass finals.

 

If you guys aren't watching the GSL finals, if you missed game 1, I pity you.

This is such an incredible finals. I can't believe it.

 

Yeah. I had never heard of jjakji, and I assumed this match would be overshadowed by the MVP vs Leenock semi finals...


...but holy shit. That last game!? Best macro game I've seen. If jjakji hadn't made that supply blocking mistake at the start, he'd win.

 

This is why Jjakji is the best player on NSHoSeo. This series.

EDIT: I feel so fucking vindicated.

 

Every time I see a shot of Jakjii's parents, I keep imagining them just thinking "Fuck yeah, $50,000".

But yeah, that was one of the most amazing series i've ever seen. Jakjii played so fucking well in every respect. He started out with kinda cheesy strats, but played some amazing macro games as well.

Gotta say, Leenock looked pretty unhappy when he was standing up on the stage beside Jakjii.

There has been so many amazing SC2 games lately. Definitely will be buying a season pass for every GSL from now on.

Having Jjakji's dad hand Jjakji his prizes was a really great touch.

 

I certainly wasn't expecting this result. Given the fact on the GSL poll on who would win the match, 100% voted Leenock, I don't think anyone else was either.

As for the parents...did you guys remember GSL2 grand finals? Where both young MarineKing (Fake BoxeR at the time) and 30 year old Nestea's *mother's* were interviewed in the pre-game stuff? Now *that* was awkward.
